Greetings,

First off let me start by apologizing that this information was not conveyed during our time at VanaFest. I can assure you that we did not intentionally leave this out.

To give some insight as to why this slipped through the cracks, this was mentioned briefly before the start of the quiz when Bayohne and I were in our booth preparing for the stream and we didn’t catch that it was said due to it's spontaneity. Unfortunately we did not have any prior knowledge that this would be announced and we wish we could have given you this information right away.

With that said, these are a few of the “behind-the-scenes” secrets that were revealed on stage:

  • Use of "/fume" emote on Voidwatch monsters to shuffle weaknesses

  • The great katana "Murasamemaru" has an additional hidden effect that turns all weapon skills into non-elemental damage when used.

  • Using Camouflage after activating Decoy Shot will remove the enmity cap on Decoy Shot.

Ive used decoy shot like twice same with camouflage. I don't really see this as amazing but im just one guy.

It's gotta be Murasamemaru. Why would they randomly reveal something like that about a shitty weapon no one cares about lol. Besides, people were already expecting Murasamemaru had non-elemental WS weren't they?

Can do it once every 5 minutes starting from when you pop the NM.

Several days ago the NA/EU playerbase learned that you can use the /fume emote to reset procs on Voidwatch NMs. This was originally revealed at Vana'fest, but was withheld from the translated version. It's been talked about on FFXIAH, BlueGartr, and now here to inform those who don't yet know.

How it works:

  • From the moment a mob is popped, there is a 5 minute wait until the first time it can be used.


  • The person with hate must be the one to use /fume.


  • This will reset all of the current available weaknesses, but will not grant a second white !! proc.


  • The chance to use this will stack, I.E: if you wait 10 minutes, you can use it twice in a row.

Looks like Camate came back with some more information. It is in fact Murasamemaru, and not the Lv.70 Great Katana that's been useless for 5 years now. lol

pretty sure even though they remove Camouflage effect...they still give the buff even though its removed on use...just like every other spike buff in the game. Also, im pretty sure main RNG has a "chance" not to remove Camouflage when doing actions.

I semi-want a muramasamemaru now....so much Tachi:Shoha on physically resistant mobs :<
