there is about 6 months for it to release 30 days for each, = around 180 days. save one dollar per day only drink water and dont buy soda. that alone will give u money for almost a ps3 since by them its also going to be even cheaper anyways. its no the end of the world and thas just one way to save some money there tons of them that wont even hurt you to do. screw ps2 it was nice when it came out but lets face it times changes and now 2012-2013 its just no good enoff. i think this will do more good than bad and serve as a motivation for ppl to upgrade. by all means aint a troll or trying to get anyone mad just trying to help with an idea.

you are either a troll or are severely lacking common knowledge of FFXI and the systems it plays on.

FFXI isn't available on the PS3, it's only available on the PC, 360 and PS2. The PS3's that play it, are playing it via PS2 hardware/software, very few can do this, and no new one can.

Also: don't tell other people what to do or how to live their life, or what to play their games on unless they ask you to interject into these affairs, you're not helping.


Edit: even those PS3's that can, also won't be getting the expansion, since it's playing the PS2 version, so really your post was pointless.

The first page of this post was may i say quite entertaining!

I did wonder if this was going to be the case having watched the trailer for Adoulin, and not seeing the PS2 mark. I skimmed half this thread, and if it's true that the PS2 is the blame for us only have 7 macro lines and 80 inventory, then quite frankly this is a good turning point for the game, if they are not giving the updates outside of Japan for PS2 regarding this new pack. Perhaps in time to come the PC/360 users will get more macro lines (not that those using windower need them...) and more inventory space would be lovely!

It does surprise me that people in NA actually still use a PS2 to play this game, when they could have a nice shiny 360 or semi decent PC for not a lot of money. I have a PS2, but I don't use it and haven't done for years, it's definitely about time to catch up with the rest of the world, especially if those players want to get this expansion.

Gamestop and other NA retailers would not, in their right minds, buy shipments of PS2 games when 99% of US gamers have moved on to new systems. It's simply not profitable for NA retailers to be buying shipments of a game that maybe 10-15 people(if at that!) in their neighborhoods would buy.

i play on pc and ps2 because i have 2 accounts do you think im going to spend money for another PC when i have a ps2, ps3 and PC?
If they had ps3 version nobody would care today because 75% of ps2 owner already have a ps3. the only one to blame today is SE because they didn't make ps3 version to make the transition between both console and finally kill the ps2.
