They keep saying "makyou" about the town we saw which indicates it's less a town and more a baddie hangout (not sure how else to put it)

Can't believe people honestly thought they would release the new expansion this year. It takes them months to fix the simplest things; I can't imagine how long they must have been working on this thing.

I was hoping for a winter release myself, but I guess they will do Neo Salvage then this.

The best part about this, is this expansion looks like it has some actual new not-rehashed-from-old-content zones for a change. Its like ToAU all over again!

This is what has me excited. ToAU was an amazing point in this game filled with tons of exploration, new mobs, and excitement... loads of fun for a good stretch of time.

Glad to see we may get to relive some of that wonder.

I was hoping for a winter release myself, but I guess they will do Neo Salvage then this.

Issue with a winter release is they don't like to compete with their own MMO. Sadly with that in mind this prolly won't be out til February-April 2013. Since XIV 2.0 is suppose to make it's grand mark around November-December 2012.
