Any tips for me?

Gimme about 30 minutes? Gotta do some cleaning and eat lunch real quick.

Otherwise I'm free aaaaaaaaaaall day.

As for demon's souls... uhhh... Besides getting the free Crescent Falchion to make early game easier for you, not really. Don't know the game very well. Especially compared to how well I know Dark Souls.

You're set for most of Demon's Souls lol and all of those items are easy to get xD

Man-eater Mildred should wreck that boss I only went in close once for the finishing blow I would try just standing back let Mildred tank and poke boss with a bow or something

She made a lava moat, the NPC was stupid enough to run in and get smacked around by the whip while burning, then just as I get to get around her she does the explosion thing and insta-kills me. >_>Today just isn't a good day.

From what I've read, Maneater Mildred takes very little damage from the lava and the boss in general, so let her be a punching bag and just pop the boss with arrows or magic from a safe distance. Try to time your blows though, since hate with that boss is kinda funky.

Pretty much, you can lock her into turning back and forth to face two different people by hitting in intervals. Sounds like one of the easiest bosses ever unless they fixed that. >.>

Really? Even the gaping dragon wasn't THAT simple with three people bashing on it.

In other news, I got the elite knight armor finally, tried to fight two stone knights at once, didn't happen. I can take them one on one fairly easy, even if just coaxing them into casting their gravity-like spell and bashing them. Three hit combo of R1 kills them easily with my Black Knight Sword.

That's because every bit of the Gaping Dragon is a potential weapon against you. Having phantoms with you makes it harder to coax it to do its slam and charge attack which leaves it open to wail on.

Very true, getting it to use its charge attack was quite difficult as it was.

So, any ideas on an upgrade to my shield? Using Hollowed Soldiers Shield and wondering if I should keep it or find a better one.

Also, am I the only weirdo walking around with two shields equipped?

No, using two shields is a good idea so long as your weight capacity can handle it, and you don't need a talisman/bow in that hand. I'd look for the Grass Crest Shield. It's light and gives stamina regen up, and the Black Knight's Shield, which gives high stability and 95% resistance to fire damage. Great for early invaders since they abuse the crap out of Pyromancy. If you feel like you need a shield for non-fire uses, I liked the Eagle Shield (Low requirement Great Shield), Silver Knight's Shield, and the Shield of Artorias is supposed to be pretty neat.

I like the tower knight shield personally. I don't keep two equipped but I will swap to one with a higher magic block if needed.

Right hand
Black Knight Sword+2
Short Bow

Left hand
Hollow Soldiers Shield
Knight Shield

I have no attunement slots right now. I didn't think magic would be that important but now I realized magic would be very useful. :(

Get a Pyromancy flame. Requires no stat points to maximize, just souls. It'll give you some burst damage for bosses, or invaders.

Have one, just equipped it instead of my Knight Shield on the left hand. Still need an attunement slot to put magic onto it. x.x

Should only take 1 or 2 levels to get a slot. Also, I'd use the flame in your main hand and bow in your off hand. It's important you can block with your pyromancy flame on.

Alright, will do.

So, anyone wanting to kill the moonlit butterfly? that's where I am right now. If I kill it I'll be able to get my attunement slot, since it's only 1 level away (attunement is at 9, get 1 at 10).

Whoa, I decide to check out how FFXIAH is doing randomly today, after like a year of not playing XI and I see this thread at the top of the recent threads haha. Good to see people from here play Souls games!

I play on 360 under the gamertag VirtuosusFFXI, shoot me a message if one of you crazy hollows run into me.

Oh, and I also frequent the Dark Souls Twitch streams, if any of you go there. It's an absolutely amazing community and I recommend you guys come check some of the streams out. Most people know each other on there and we're very tight-knit. Oh, and lots of Kappa faces. :P
