Oswald is the only one who can do it.. you might be screwed. :|
That's too bad... I hit Eingyi cause I thought he was a mob so it'd be nice if I could fix that.
Ragnarok.Sekundes said: » Hmm... Accidentally hit the Oswald dood who will do absolutions. It's really annoying when I click back to my game and it does an attack. I've flung myself off ledges, hit things I didn't mean to and pissed off 2 npcs now. But since he's trying to kill me now... is there anyway to remove sins? I try my best to alt tab in to the game now... Since you're on PC... there might be a way to reset sins with a program or w/e. I don't know anything about that though~

LOL I always kill Eingyi (because he's annoying) and Quelaag's sister (because she's just suffering, especially with Quelaag not there) asap. Is there any way to "turn off" online play while still being human (whatever non-hollowed is)?
Earlier today as I had just respawned from happening upon a "faceless demon" down in the catacombs and getting my *** kicked (level 29, probably too low for catacombs honestly) I got invaded (had found a humanity off a mob near the bonfire) and backstabbed instantly causing me to lose my last "body" and the 20k souls and 7 humanity with it. Up until that faceless demon thing I was having little to no problems in there at that level. Sure skeletons hurt when they hit me, but it wasn't too hard to parry them or just block their attacks. Hardest part was running past majority of them to get to the necromancers/pyromancers? reviving them. Hence the accumulated wealth of souls from kiling everything. Damn the prices you pay trying to find a bonfire you spotted through a crack in the wall. Had the same thing happen earlier in the game when I was fighting the red drake on the bridge. Almost had it killed and as I was running back to underneath the bridge (to dodge the fire) I got killed with a backstab by an invader. Goodbye 50k+ souls I had accumulated from the glitch there, and a full health drake. Afterwards I made the mistake of opening the portculis underneath him and making him fly away. At least I got the drake sword from him (haven't found a better one yet(that I can use)). Bahamut.Rulerofdarkness

If you are on PS3 you can force offline and avoid invasions etc by signing out of the PSN.
A very good sword but rare drop is Balder Side Sword (drops from the Balder knights with the capes in Undead Parish) it has very long range/R2 and fast (Scales awesome with Dex) Bahamut.Rulerofdarkness

As for working to a new weapon. I just need the strength to wield my Dark Knight Sword. Got the greatsword too, but I'm not very fond of weapons that leave large openings. Derp, I didn't even think about just signing out. lol Astora's Straight sword in Valley of the Drakes is a good starting weapon if you have the master key to get it that is.

However, I started with the Old Witch's Ring. :/ Story wise, I just opened the way to Blighttown and got my *** kicked by those things that jump on you and eat your face. Not sure where to go to level. Dropping your summon sign at the depths bonfire would probably be the best bet. LV30 should be high enough for blighttown though unless that's a different character you mentioned.
There is a NPC in the Depths that moves to Firelink Shrine after you beat the boss.. he sells the master key then. :3 There is also a back way to get the sword but you have to go thru a black knight and wyverns :I

I didn't really believe my friend on this but after testing it you really see it start to fall off because its lack of scaling. Bahamut.Rulerofdarkness

Yeah, I have no intention of using scales to upgrade it, just using it till an upgraded weapon has better damage or I come across a higher base damage one that I can use. I mainly run shield/some type of 1-handed weapon (not counting 2-handed weapons that can be used 1-handed). I've been focusing more on upgrading my armor than I have a weapon, but I guess I should start doing a weapon. (Wearing Knight's +3 atm, except the body which is +2 and is currently outclassed by some body with a ton of medals on it (forget name)). It's a good idea to stick to one stat mod (STR or DEX) to level up as opposed to both, since quality builds take a lot longer to see the true damage output (IMO). As far as weapons go, the Balder Side Sword will eventually see similar damage output as the Black Knight Sword, be more useful since it has a varried moveset (both thrusting and slashing/sweeping attacks) to account for different environments.
That is not to say that the Black Knight Sword is bad, because it definitely is not a bad weapon. In fact it's a great weapon for a first playthrough. I still use it from time to time, I just prefer having the speed I guess. The Drakesword is a bad representative for dragon weapons, though, since the other Dragon Weapons are actually not bad at all. Bahamut.Rulerofdarkness

I've read that it's a decent (even OP somewhat)sword at low levels; like up to 25-30 (where it starts to fall off)depending on your luck/what you upgrade. It demolished the Capra Demon with plunge attacks. Also, after reading up a bit more about the Balder Side Sword, I think I'll start upgrading it. It is OP for low levels for sure, but the other Dragon Weapons never really die out or become too weak. They're all of the two-handed class types (claymore, ultra greatsword, greataxe style) so they come with a higher natural base damage. But their Attack Rating is so high that the fact that they lack scaling doesn't matter. Priscilla's Dagger is actually kinda bad, though.. sadly. The Balder Side Sword is a great weapon, though. Definitely DEX heavy, though. Always look at your stat scaling. Some weapons are decieving. I get asked a lot of dark souls questions :x I was a doubter of the Balder side sword, but I gave it a go for an INT/DEX buff build not so long ago and was blown away. It's not about the single hit attack rating of the sword which puts most people off using it, but its attack speed lets you pump out loads of damage over time especially when buffed, has good range and a versatile moveset too.
