So...I summoned 2 players for a boss fight
Aaaaaand just got a boss fight glitch invasion in the same boss fight, lol.
Thinking about doing some replays of the Souls games since this is where it ends, before whatever the next type of game From does.
Thing is, is that I disliked DS2 so much that I probably won't replay that one, even though it gets referenced in 3 a good bit(though not as much as 1). But then I'm like, "Hmm, to replay Demon Souls or not." as well, cause even though it's the first Souls game, its narrative isn't part of Dark Souls, so I'm like, "Hmm. Guess I could just do 1 and 3." But I already did a playthrough of 1 pretty recently <_>; /headdesk Bismarck.Lennart said: » You should come get rekt by me, scrub! I'm curious: what weapons do you all favor from each game of the souls series?
Demon's Souls: Hiltless Blueblood Sword Guillotine Axe Baby's Nail Dark Souls: Silver Knight Straight Sword Gravelord Greatsword Demon Great Machette Dark Souls 2: Berserker Blade Black Flamestone Dagger Dragonrider Twinblade Curved Dragon Greatsword Dark Souls 3: Corvian Greatknife Wolf Knight's Greatsword Old Wolf Curved Sword Ringed Knight Paired Greatswords Frayed Blade Bloodborne: Rakuyo Chikage Ludwig's Holy Blade Blades of Mercy Sylph.Cherche said: » I'm curious: what weapons do you all favor from each game of the souls series? The standard Falchion or whatever curved sword the Wanderer type class starts with... I didn't start the Souls series in order, but I can't seem to break the habit of doing Demon Souls the same way each time(I've only played through it twice to completion really). Sticky White Stuff Heater Shield Dark Souls: Lifehunt Scythe Zweihander Black Knight's Sword Black Knight's Greatsword(dat first playthrough nostalgia mainly) Pyromancy Flame Sunlight Blade Caduceus Kite Shield Balder Shield Lightning Spear(Miracle) Dark Souls 2: I still haven't gone back to finish it. Heide Knight's Sword +10 Whatever that first 100% physical shield is that you find in Giant Woods. Drangelic Knight shield or whatever. Dark Souls 3: Sunlight Straight Sword Barbed Straight Sword Milwood Axe Lothric Knight's Greatsword Lothric Knight's Shield Bloodborne: Hunter's Axe Ludwig's Holy Blade Church Gun(the double barrel one, can't remember name) Cannon Boom Hammer Saw Spear How about armor/clothing sets in each game? Fashion Soul go! Favored armors -
Demon Souls - Uhh, again, not many playthroughs. Generally just the wanderer's set mixed with the lighter chain mail stuff. Old King Doran's set(just cause the jade green is kinda neat) Dark Souls - Knight's set(I like the dirtier, grittier feeling of it, as well as the boots/leggings, it's basically Elite Knight's without the ornamentation). Havel's Eastern Armor(just the body) Silver/Black knight's armor(but not the helmets, those helmets look really out of proportion when the player wears it). Sunlight set(mainly cause I'm a Solaire fanboy and for its description) Dark Souls 2 - The set that the buddy wears in Happy Souls. Particularly that helmet. I put that helmet on and mixmatched the other pieces, but that helmet stayed till I put the game down cause meh. Dark Souls 3 - See Dark Souls 1, but add Northern Set(minus helmet) Dragonslayer Armour Follower's Set(mainly the body) Dragonblood set Cathedral Knight set(mainly the helmet) Leonhard the Ringfinger's set Bloodborne - Hunter's hat + Cainhurst body + Charred Hunter's Gloves + Yarharghul hunter trousers... I pretty much don;t do anything else, sometimes I change the pants. For armor...

So far the play time is kind of high cause I been afking a lot for snacks/not being optimal all the time(if ever), and I'm kinda stinky. Oh, no voice, cause am micless PS4 pleb atm. https://www.twitch.tv/viciouszvahl Odin.Drakenv said: » Kalila said: » A New Project From BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment - Teaser Trailer YouTube Video Placeholder Prepare to Dine, so possibly a vampire-esque dark souls / bloodborne. Phew, after many attempts and many failures(well, like 6 failures I guess), I've finally taken a No Death run beyond the Abyss Watchers. All the runs up till now, I've died to something silly before fighting Abyss Watchers.
Currently I've done everything up to Irithyll, except for fighting the Old Demon King, which I intend to go do, after I up my Endurance a bit. I'm a bit worried about fighting him, and even more worried about the Sulyvahn Beast on the bridge leading into Irithyll lol. Just felled the Pontiff Sulyvahn! Had a bunch of close calls, but so far, so good. No Deaths, and I'm moving towards the dreaded Silver Knight Gauntlet...
I made it past the Silver Knights, it was tense, but I did it. I didn't have a lot of arrows, and I didn't remember to stock up really, but I felled the first one on the far buttress with arrows. A bowman's duel, Black Bow of Pharis vs. Dragonslayer Great. I won in the end, but I did wind up having to use 3 estus.
It really tickles me getting hit with those arrows. They persist for a while sticking through you like a skewer. I had considered going back and grinding up 5 INT, so that I could use Hidden Body and the Slumbering Dragoncrest ring, to cloak my approach, but I opted instead to arrow duel the guy on the buttress and just make a run for it. Without him there to shoot straight down the buttress/shoot me when I got to the top, the worry was still there, but even had I been struck, the Silvercat ring would have probably saved me from death. Once I was at the top, the angle of the Silver Knights up there caused me to become undetected, so I backstabbed the one that had been shooting at me off into oblivion. Fought the next one like normal, and then lured the sword one next to the final bow/spear one up to me by chucking Kukris into his face. I felt so Ninja after that. A thought also occurred to me... I really like stealth in Souls games. It can be a bit wonky like any stealth in games, but it can also be monumentally OP. I became paranoid when I saw Yorshka's tower... so I went back to Firelink and picked up prism stones and made a rainbow bridge, just to alleviate my paranoia of falling. I'm now in front of Aldritch, but I'm delaying fighting him. He's not that bad, I'm just taking a break/collecting my thoughts. I'm also considering farming up Darkmoon Blade for a couple reasons. 1. I want the levels. I know I could beat all further bosses without much trouble, but I don't want to take chances. 2. They drop large titanite shards fairly often, and I can upgrade everything I intend to make use of to +6 at the very minimum. 3. Despite farming it once before, I never used it due to that character farming it only for trophies lol. Asura.Vyre said: » I made it past the Silver Knights, it was tense, but I did it. Although most likely you weren't farming Darkmoon Blade with the intent to use it against Aldritch...in the event you WERE, I do think he's resistant to magic/dark. Otherwise, Darkmoon Blade is pretty sexy and worthwhile to get. And yeah, getting all of your pertinent gear upgraded will do a world of difference compared to simply grinding out levels (unless it allows you access to gear/spells). Good luck punching Aldritch in the throat, and as Piccolo would tell you...DODGE! Just cheesed the Sulyvahn Beasts in the Aldritch Faithful Covenant area with Hidden Body + Slumbering Dragoncrest + Storyteller Staff. Never doing it any other way now lol.
Just did a pure INT playthrough of DS1. It was so easy until Gwyn. I mean, I probably could have Red Tearstone one shot him or something, but I always forget about that. I also probably could have used a better shield, but ah well. I didn't do any of the DLC cause I just didn't care to get mollywopped by Manus a whole bunch.
