Hey guys,

We let the development team know about your suggestion and inquiry about Dispel II. They mentioned that since Dispel's recast timer isn't considerably long, multiple buff removals may not be the best upgrade for the tier II version and from a balance perspective removing every effect from an enemy is a bit too powerful. To compare some other magic spells, Erase only removes one spell at a time, while Esuna requires Afflatus Misery to utilize its multiple debuff removal. Taking this example into consideration, what kind of effects would you like to see for Dispel II or perhaps a new magic spell?

Good god, dev team, have you forgotten how much SCH pisses on WHM and RDM's native abilities? That update wouldn't be anywhere close to breaking the bank. I don't think having it on an unreliably high recast of 1-2 minutes would shatter the barance too much.

Anyway, for alternatives, I'd suggest adding some sort of status debuff to dispel II, such as lowering attack/defense/evasion/etc. Make sure this STACKS with other such debuffs from players, though, else no one is going to care.

Oh, make sure it's accurate, too.

Just make dispel II hit dmg :), so rdm will atleast not that useless while spaming dispel and enfeeble on the mob.

Or transfer the debuffed effect from the target mob to the caster.

Replace the removed enhancement effect with an opposite, negative effect. I think it would be very fitting to Red Mages.

Remove Regen, adds Poison
Remove STR-Boost, adds STR-Down
Remove Warcry, adds Attack Down
Remove Shell, adds Magic Defense Down
Remove Haste, adds Slow
...and so on.

Could give White Mages something similar, too. Remove an enfeeble on an ally, replaces it with an opposite, positive effect.

It doesn't. Besides correcting the fundamental problems that exist within the employment of Enfeebling Magic in end-game content, Red Mage doesn't need anything.

I don't want anything new for Red Mage (besides the aforementioned) - I'm quite content with what I'm able to do with the job, but at the same time, I'd prefer not to be white-glove slapped across the face with all of these suggested mockeries.
