Diablo 3
I never got passed like level 12 or something on a friend's account, but what's wrong with the ah?
Quote: In short, the AH system in Diablo III undermined arguably the most major principle of Diablo: it's a god damn lootfest. You're meant to be killing ***and slaughtering bosses and feeling awesome when you get some amazing legendary crossbow to drop, or go onto a community forum and start negotiating big trades... shouldn't be able to play the AH or whip out your credit card to buy everything you want by clicking the "Auction House" button. The whole AH system really made the loot system itself suffer, too. Whether Blizzard denies it or not (I haven't read much about it since the first month or so of release), they tailored the game and the way loot drops specifically toward making the AH flourish. They either wanted more money from the microtransactions (which sometimes weren't so micro), or they wanted to make the game "more accessible", or... who knows. At the end of the day, this is the best change they could have ever done to make Diablo III a true successor to its lineage, and I'll probably end up giving it, and its expansion, another chance in March. i just got an email about this. made me so happy. maybe in another 6 months, it'll feel more like diablo used to instead of buying your way through inferno
Yeah DH got super nerfed, if anything is OP now I would say Wiz with the infinite Archon takes that title.
Take out the AH, expand, and add a ladder system. While these things are NEEDED, even if they're done it won't bring back a fraction of what they have already lost. If Blizzard wasn't all "special ed" lately, they would've realized this and done all these things before release.
EDIT: Also, HAH! I just realized that, with my current time table, I'll be getting out of boot camp 4 days before the AH goes down... Garbage is still garbage no matter what. Trifecta or Quadfecta or gtfo on every piece of item.
The launch of the new expansion: Reaper of Souls is here. Anyone playing it? I gave it a shot. The difficulty is pretty jacked now. I won't even begin to talk about the final boss...just ridiculous.
Fist of the Heavens is probably the most fun ability I've ever used in an ARPG
Will be buying it as soon as I get off work today.
I fired it for the first time in a while (about six months?) a few days ago when I bought the expac to check out any changes and the changes are many. And that was before the expac today.
I'm expecting a ton of changes. Probably just going to start (mostly) from scratch with a new character of the new class and see how it goes. I do quite limited multiplayer, so as long as it entertains me, it's a win. sumo said: » The launch of the new expansion: Reaper of Souls is here. Anyone playing it? I gave it a shot. Try Torment 6 on Act 5. See if you can survive :p

And when I logged in the other day pre-expac it defaulted me to normal, and mobs were definitely not as paper thin. My gear was never amazing as I only played single-player, and things still died pretty easily, but some of the NMs on normal were requiring me to actually pay attention, not just blow through them. yes. monsters are based on your level now and difficulties adjust the hp/dmg output of monsters while giving you extra legendary drop rates, gold, and xp based on which difficulty you're on; so if you play as a level 15 character on Torment I, you'll be fighting lv 15 monsters but they'll all have extremely high HP and damage bonuses that you'd need extremely good lv15 gear to overcome! you'll never be facing severely underleveled enemies because you're on a lower difficulty now. when they changed that, they bumped up the difficulty of most monsters in the game.
Got on my 60 monk last night and like 30 minutes into act 5 I find a legendary fist that increased my DPS by around 20k. Dropped from a normal mob.
Also, periodically found other rares that blew my pre-paragon levels patch gear out of the water too. Adventure mode <3
Love being able to bounce around acts, collecting bounties and hunting down bosses without resetting and doing Act II. Did Act 5 last night. Went from 60-70 well before we completed it. Went with 2 Sorcs who were well geared and had 170-250 paragon, and my Barb, who has like no Paragon levels and meh equipment. Everything was fine, usually mauled me but they'd survive, until the boss of Act V. We had to turn the difficulty down because *** hell. I could tank him for first and second section pretty well, but then the clouds... oh god the clouds, would just rip me apart, and then the sorcs wouldn't last long.
i got the "puzzle ring"
haveent touched chap. V started playing a new Crusader, it is fun :D
Trying to do Adventure by joining a random group is frustrating. Seems 95% of the time I join one with all the bounties done and 5% of the time I join one where everyone is apparently recrafting gear for a month.

Gideon Emery wheee. while checking on items, I noticed some stats on them have an orange diamond (before the item special stats/effects are described) and others are like dimmed or grayed out, what does this mean?
like: *Ice damage +5 *Banana damage +10 |
