Avengers

So whats everyones thought of the Avengers movie? It has been out since last Friday, yet I see no post.

I thought the thor, Captain America, and Iron man fight was oool. But my favorite part was Thor and Hulk fighting.

Saw it a couple days ago and thought it was really good, didnt like any of the prior movies other than the Iron Man ones.

I have to say, the Hulk in the last 40 or so min was great! Had quite a few laughs and that long fight scene with all of them going at the bad dudes was epic.

Would watch again for sure.

Saw it on Saturday, walked out said to my friend "how soon is too soon to watch it again?" we went and got tickets and watched it again.

No cost of getting to cinema, cinema tickets, eating popcorn, even though you hate the stuff, no annoying idiots talking all the way through the film....

That said, going this Thursday with gf, only seen Iron Man previously, and thats only because it was on in the hotel when I was away in London, got really into it lol. Looking forward to it all the same though it does upset me paying for films with robert downsyndrome jr in. Just don't like the guy at all.

how's the quality on the bootleg?

I feel like this is a movie worth watching at theaters and not on a computer screen with lousy audio/res :/

any movie, really. I just don't like theaters in general. If I had a huge screen at my own house, sure, but I don't care for the many inconveniences of a movie theater.

I saw a streamed version that someone posted. Terrible quality but I still enjoyed the movie, and I usually don't like super hero movies.

The best part of the theater, IMO, is the sound. You just can't get it at home and that's the biggest reason I will go.

Very few movies these days are worth the money and inconvenience of going to a movie theater, but I must say The Avengers looks well worth it. Though I'd likely want to wait a week or two before going so the buzz (and thus the annoyance) of other movie goers diminishes more.

My wife said it was awesome and she totally hates superhero movies. Last I checked it's made $170 million overseas already and the budget was $220 million to make according to IMDB. Imagine the opening weekend in the U.S. Taking my nephew to see his favorite hero Thor beat some Iron Man/Hulk/Loki *** this weekend, haha! (Although Hulk is the Strongest There Is!)

I think Mark Ruffalo did a great job. What annoys me is having the Human Torch be Captain America... whatever Chris Evans does a great job with both characters.

Yup and Dark Knight Rises has a $250 million budget. Insane but well spent.

I enjoyed the Avengers but I was expecting more at the end, it was just over and done with and ended abruptly for me. I did stay for the extra bit at the end but even still I just felt like it hadn't concluded properly.

fantastic 4 getting a reboot from what I hear, and not like F4 has a direct link to the Avengers one

Saw Avengers last night and it was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!

Spoilering for those who are picky about it, but this doesnt give away much in terms of story.
I'm not much of a Hulk fan, and I know the last few Hulk movies all had a different actor portraying him, but I do think this guy did him perfectly.

Not sure if you have got it yet, but I have a pretty decent quality one.

Also who the hell doesn't like popcorn?

This new battleship movie even looks like ***. (I mean could you imagine a monopoly movie? that'd probably be better, but then they couldn't get in those flashy explosions that they think makes a good movie).

here's an idea: don't stick to the way the industry has done things for ages, try new things, or actually write a story that's decent , and get people who can act, then you may actually start making a profit if you don't sink a fortune into producing crap and expecting to profit.
