1.) how do i get there? i keep hearing its on an island and i have to go through undersea but i dont know how to do that.

2.) what is a good party setup for killing them?

3.) is this a good way to get xp?

1. Take the nyzul staging point, roam around taking random teleports until you find the exit.

2. BRD BRD COR DNC SAM(polearm) RDM

1.) You do have to go through Alzadeel(sp) Undersea to get there(then again, I think there's another way, but Undersea is the fastest). I think you take the southwest portal, then next portal, then go straight out to get to the colibri you desire to murder.

2.) DRG/Mage parties were often utilized. But any 5 DD, 1 healer party can do. Bards and Corsairs can also make this much more enjoyable and quick.

3.) At 75 it was a typical place to merit, but has lost its shine. Good luck if you wish to pursue it regardless!

I don't understand what the point of this thread is. So we're taking a stand against people asking questions on these forums. Based on the fact that we know all aspects of the game and people returning to the game have no idea about new stuff.

Ok OP.... At this point in the game... (If you dont already have them) buy the Abyssea Mini expansions... and forget all about colbri for atleast right now.... There are far easier ways to EXP/Merit ... though some may argue not as fun as the old days. regardless, this is probably the only way you will be able to get a group in today's FFXI....

Secondly read anything and everything you can on the forums here, and the content on Wiki on Abyssea and other new stuff since you last were in game.... Alot has changed and you will need to do some research

Not rly. In game I'm rly laid back and just chat lol. I don't get mad at other people if they're gimp and rage like alot of you guys haha. And I also don't tell them to their face if they failing, because that is rude!
