I don't think Rehash means what you think it means.
Considering a few of those say NEW and voidwatch is still on going and hasn't reached its end yet.....

This all is just a filler for what's to come. It's cheaper to upgrade old content while they put resources in the next "expansion" coming out probably near the end of the 5 month roadmap after the next one in Oct12-Mar13. They've released content on the test server where they've had to delay the official release because of feedback, yet they've pushed out content because of player demand (impatience) before it was even ready and had to have a "fix" later on.
Quote: Another subset of players still has been waiting for another epic storyline, akin to Wings of the Goddess or Treasures of Aht Urghan. Regarding the next addition to the game, Tanaka states "The major concept of Abyssea was an add-on focused on battle. The add-ons before that had content that focused on story scenarios. For the next version of content, we are considering a new style -- something different from both of these." I expect to hear more news about this near the end of october, and will probably see it released skipping the test server in Feb-Mar of next year... which is why I'm not paying my subscription for a very long time >.>

I still highly doubt we will get a full on expansion.
If this "new content" is not going to focus on story or battle, what the hell else is there? lol

No story or battles = moogles :o!

[dev1044] New Magian trials
[dev1046] Synergy skill cap adjusments
[dev1051] Voidwatch: Tavnazia Jurisdiction
[dev1052] Group 1/Group 2 Merit Point refinements
[dev1053] New dungeon crawl system (title TBD)
[dev1054] Voidwatch: Aht Urhgan Jurisdiction
[dev1055] Besieged refinements
[dev1056] Einherjar renewal
[dev1057] Limbus renewal
[dev1058] Merit Point two-hour abilities
[dev1093] Enfeebling Magic Resistance of Monsters
[dev1103] Voidwatch Finale
[dev1104] Moogle Porter Service Expansion
It bothers me so much how they love to waste time rehashing content instead releasing new stuff
I think rehashing the porter moogle is my favorite part. Because that's actually gameplay content, right?

getting sick of this after years of playing. They really dont release anything of worth. i mean they could have simply left the game at 75 and add some weird but epic story and i would have been happy. All it seems to be now is update update update, Nerf neft nerf...its actually gotten to the point where everything is simply just boring. but meh, could just be my opinion.

Hence at this point, why Diablo 3 is such a good possible option. I mean 12-15 years, ppl still played Diablo 2, that means heck.. another good 10 years to go on Diablo 3, and the servers haven't even started yet... well the betas are done.. but still!

No question that updates are becoming not worth the $12 a month we pay SE to maintain the game. 10 new voidwatch NMs, an event that was supposed to be added a month ago, and little changes to ***that already exists that no one gives a *** about.
Also they didn't fix Diffusion, which pisses me off.

Story is worthless to me for this game. I can't remember it long enough to ever get the full version unless I go back and re-watch CSs at the NPCs, at which point I generally realize it is a mediocre translation stacked on a sub-par plot.
Amount of emotional attachment to the NPCs: 0

The final chapter in the Voidwatch saga was scheduled to be implemented in this update, but has been delayed for a few weeks in order to further balance the battle content.
New Battle System: Legion
Overview
| Legion is a new battle system intended to challenge high-level adventurers in alliances of eighteen to thirty-six combatants. Legion will feature unique battlefields in which combatants will be pitted against legions of formidable high-level notorious monsters (HNMs). Slay as many foes as possible within the thirty-minute time limit to reap a host of exciting rewards! |
Requirements
Participating in Legion
Speak to Saarlan in Rolanberry Fields (J-5) and pay the participation fee of 360,000 gil to receive the “Legion tome page” key item.
*Only one representative from your alliance need possess this key item.
With the key item in your possession, speak to Mayuyu in the same area and choose your desired battlefield and capacity (eighteen or thirty-six combatants). After your selections are confirmed, you will receive a Legion pass.
*As a single Legion pass can transport up to eighteen players, larger groups will receive two passes.
*Legion passes will be valid for five minutes (Earth time) after issuance.
Have your alliance leader trade the issued pass to the Legion Tome to enter the Legion entrance lobby.
Make sure to configure your alliance as desired before trading the pass. Should any members be lower than level 75, your alliance will be refused entry. *For groups larger than eighteen, it will be necessary to trade the extra Legion pass to the leader of your second alliance or party.
From the lobby, examine the Legion Portal or simply wait for the allotted time to elapse. You will be transported to the battlefield to commence the fight!
Spoils of WarEach HNM defeated will yield items and Legion points.
Items will be placed in a treasure pool to be lotted on by all participants.
Loot quality and Legion point rewards will increase the more foes you slay.
Legion points may be redeemed with Saarlan for a variety of rewards.
Legion-related terms and phrases have been added to the Glossary of Game Terms.
