Random Question thread (FFXI related)
I thought Spirit Lantern (BLM ammo from that fight) gave magic damage +10% for its enchantment's duration, but I see that bgwiki and ffxiclopedia have it at just +10MAB.

Am I going to be rewarded finally for not doing more Lilith spam than I've already done? I've done well over 100 runs and I've only got 3/5. I refused to do more because I want to enjoy myself when I'm playing video games. These people cant even fix the *** ??? in Temenos. These are also the same people that were like
"We should let people NPC their Saphires for gil. What price should we set" "Less gil than it costs to use a home point." Why can't I trade in earrings for a case
Or sapphire for a case Or x case for case +1 I wanted to say they will use the Decanter system, but that seems unlikely since Malignance is marked with Rare tag, and Sinister Reign gear is Ex. There would need to be a system in place to make sure you get a drop of malignance that isn't one you already have, and i doubt they will put that much effort into it.
Maybe just an item that has a chance of dropping from Lilith HTBF that can be redeemed at a deeds NPC or Bonanza Moogle or something for a piece of gear of your choice. This would help players who get earrings for jobs they will never play, you can trade them in for something useful. It also gives a purpose for repeat earrings you can't do anything with besides feel bad and sell them or throw them away (mule them). This system already has precedent with Empyrean Footwear exchange and Omen Card trades. Would be a harmless system for most players and would benefit people who have been running for years and still cannot get a +2 that they give a damn about. Just make it a Kupon KI to choose any armor you want. Stop ffff over complicating things that don't need to be complicated.

1) 10 earrings of the same type, to get an earring of the same type of a higher tier 2) 3 earrings of any type, to get a specific (your choice) earring of the same tier There, fixed the earring system! Each time you get a new one there's a new "roll" on the stats of course, so you can keep tryin getting the same +2 until you get the stats you want (max?) Why are Pil's Tuille 3M when it's 5% drop rate?
3 idiots decided to make 5/5 sets on the same day spiking it
Stupid. Are the FFXI DB numbers meaningless for VW though? Doesn't account for procs etc?

Close but that's too inventory intensive unless you can store the earrings at an npc. Probably should be X cases for a case +1 and Y case +1 for case +2 Or 4 (same) <job> earrings for a tier up for 3 (mixed) <job> earrings or 2 (same) <job> earrings for different earring of the same tier. X= 30, Y= 10 maybe? Cases can (and should) be a larger number if doing exchanges since they stack and also yield the same random chances, this works out to be 300 cases to get a +2 from all NQ, or 600 (worst case) for the job you want. If you can sacrifice some inventory I think it'd be a bit faster if you're lucky. (still painful but better than we have now!) Not that it matters, as said system probably won't be implemented. The dev team is Keith Moon and we're a hotel room at this point. Fenrir.Brimstonefox said: » dev team is Keith Moon and we're a hotel room at this point. Lmao. Nice one. Pil's Tuille is a pretty common drop in trove, that's where most of them come from.
These *** DRK hands are costing me a bombshell. How can there be 9 handshards on AH with a history of 200-350k and I not be able to get one for 450k?? fffffffffff
Where does, "Winds of Change" play in game?

Are the FFXI DB numbers meaningless for VW though? Doesn't account for procs etc? For heavy metal pouches, the FFXIDB data showed maybe a 4.5% drop rate with ~no light vs. 6% with full light. https://www.bluegartr.com/threads/129316-Voidwatch-cells-What-do-they-do-Do-they-do-things-Lets-find-out?p=6796775&viewfull=1#post6796775 (The data in the DB was flipped, so the posts after the first don't make much sense.) What's the rate of absorption on the WKR elemental capes and do they stack with the Abyssea elemental sachets' damage absorption?

Example: I can't use an Abyssea cape/reive cape or I can't use Warder's Charm and Tartarus Platemail together. While not totally relevant, damage nullification is a separate effect and does stack with "Absorb" damage. So tried SAM out in Sortie today. Pretty sweet on a lot of it.
Was curious though about Hybrids in basement. On ground floor I was able to hit capped damage without any sort of magic oriented buffing. But basement bosses were quite different. E, I couldn't get over 30k. G, on the other hand, still hit capped Kokis the whole fight. Is just a resistance thing on the other bosses, then? And higher MDB cause basement? Is there a method to hit capped hybrids on all basement bosses? Just higher macc requirements, you need a threnody to get hybrids consistent on E/G
I didn't need threnody or storm on Ninja using Chi/To on AEBF and was still able to hit close to capped damage with standard DD buffs and no magical support/GEO. It's probably a gear issue somewhere, or maybe Frazzle wasn't on? Maybe it didn't MA proc.
Could also just be elements, E for example i think is more susceptible to earth vs wind or fire iirc. Frazzle for E is also unlikely least in my experience its a crapshoot landing it
Threnody and extra macc accessories are needed on Sam, or will get resisted a lot.
"But I don't need that in Dyna". Sortie isn't dyna.
