Random Question thread (FFXI related)
Thanks! (it was right there on the wiki too, TIL I need glasses)
What was the gimmick for the upcoming ambu again
Looks like aura mammools Soboro skillchain
Or, full crit mode no ws, which bots can't do so that's out for most https://www.ffxiah.com/forum/topic/55466/mamool-ambuscade-v1 IIRC rogue's roll, wait for proc, then WS to death.
Nothing particularly complicated. Dodik said: » IIRC rogue's roll, wait for proc, then WS to death. Nothing particularly complicated. Extremely simply, and yet, still too *** hard for people to do. What you mean me no mash savageblade. me no understand. Asura.Eiryl said: » Or, full crit mode no ws, which bots can't do so that's out for most What the *** lmao I'd post a SS showing how easy it is to do "no ws" on a bot, but a small part of me is concerned that someone can take that SS and find the bot, even though I took all the steps to verify the SS wont lead anywhere. Tauret MH and constantly swap your offhand so you retain the critical hit rate bonus.

A typical bot can't distinguish aura up or down. It went without saying that part, but clearly not.
It never does, no matter how obvious it's supposed to be. Carbuncle.Nynja said: » I'd post a SS showing how easy it is to do "no ws" on a bot "nobody cares"
says the guy who cared enough to reply ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Don't talk about the dark magic here. Talk about it in your Discords or whatever else.
Anyway, Anyone know why in Campaign battles, random union boxes appear in spite of no one being registered to said unions? Asura.Vyre said: » Anyone know why in Campaign battles, random union boxes appear in spite of no one being registered to said unions? Immersion™ Easier to code it to spawn all 3 boxes no matter what than to add logic to check which ones were registered or not.
Well it doesn't spawn all three boxes.
Basically I always register as Coyote Union, but often see like, "Bison Union has earned additional spoils!" and a box spawns for Bison Union and Coyote Union, but no one is registered to Bison Union. Sometimes no additional union box comes at all. It's like totally random. Always wondered too. I'd be the only person there and two chests would spawn.
Who the *** was in adder i'm the only one here. The only thought was maybe the npcs are placed in unions and might get enough to spawn one sometimes. I'm about to finish WotG missions. Given the current state of the game, any go-to augments for Moonshade Earring? TP bonus used to be the no-brainer choice, does it still see some use? I'm thinking about Quick Magic, how's that?
I'm only playing DRK atm, but thinking of dusting off my BLU and NIN. Would love to get some input on the Adoulin rings too (I picked Weatherspoon long ago). Ragnarok.Zeig said: » TP bonus used to be the no-brainer choice, does it still see some use? TP bonus is incredibly good and even mages will typically prefer it because it's so impactful in the niche situations where they melee. I like MAB for second stat, it's worth more point for point when applicable. But, second stat doesn't matter a whole lot. Ragnarok.Zeig said: » Adoulin rings But, you could make a strong case for Karieyh, Orvail, or Weatherspoon depending what jobs you play. Vocane is probably out with the new apollyon ring, but I didn't consider it great before that. Janniston *maybe* for a career support/mule. I use MAB too. Covers Leaden, Aeolean, Jinpu and other GKT WS and Chi and other Katana WS
WoTG: Moonshade TP bonus. Only argument is for the second augment - go for accuracy IMO.
Adoulin: Movement speed unless you're a crafter with a shield. No argument here, it's both an inventory saver and a QoL upgrade. 18% movement speed on every job with one accessory. Worth more than anything else in the game. Dodik said: » WoTG: Moonshade TP bonus. Only argument is for the second augment - go for accuracy IMO. I agree, and it's probably what my second augment is (unless I changed it), but someone a while ago mentioned MAB+4 as a more "impactful" option over ATT+4 or ACC+4 (debateable). The reasoning was because Attack and Accuracy has a cap (and with all the buffs all the time, you hit this more often than not), and +4 is relatively insignificant, whereas, although MAB+4 is probably equally as insignificant, it won't "cap" (though, diminishing returns). It's more of a case of YMMV, jobs you play, etc. (Not turning this into a debate, just offering context) edit - damn I am super blind, didn't realize Thorny said this in his second sentence. Maybe I should turn the brightness on my screen up intense action gif
*camera pan to ctrl click and hold. *camera pan to mouse wheel, roll wheel forward. Enhance. I don't wanna find a ai video generator at this moment. For ring I personally still treasure my Weatherspoon+1 which is awesome for FC precast, midcast, and doubles up as very nice if you use WS that rely on Light (RNG, lolGEO, RDM, BST that I can think of right now). the 18% movement speed is a very very valid option though, I concur with everybody posting before me. Flash nova is kind of like a mini prime WS as it can escalate itself to Fragmentation from two lvl 1 properties but it's missing the lvl 2 property to escalate to a lvl 3 chain. Not sure but maybe the current limbus situation with one zone having constant double light weather and the other a lot of undeads (banish, holy) also make a good argument for picking weatherspoon. I have a question about Mog Garden, for something I don't really remember.
I know that if, after you trade an item, the monster says "squirms uncontrollably" it means there's a chance he evolved. Instead if you get "shudders violently" it's 100% sure he evolved. But... what if you get no message at all? Do you still have a chance for it to evolve? Or not? No message means nothing happened. Insufficient stars.
I'm on 3 stars, there's no specific food for Evolution, I'm using a food that generates a good reaction, and no evolution in a week.
I was just wondering if it's simply a matter of time, or I need to take a different approach. What monster. If there's no food, there's no food.
baby/tiny mons will just grow into adult mons, sooner or later. Adenium and Korrigan, both refusing to evolve into Elder Adenium and Pachypodium.
So I was wondering what I said before: is it a matter of just having to wait and eventually they will evolve? Or is it a matter I have to do something else and they will NEVER evolve until I do that? If it's the former it's no biggie, I'll just have to way day after day. If it's the latter though... |
