I have a multi monitor setup that crashes XI when I toggle the second monitor....is it simple to install the DirectX proxy to prevent the crashes?

All this path talk is tiresome, TBH. If you understand the way the system works it's totally trivial to come up with a path. There are no paths.

You're either being carried into harder fights (fewer moglophones required) or you are doing the NMs in tier-order.

The only choices you have are which NM you do in which order from each tier.

There is only one path if you're doing it "legit" and if you're doing it by being "carried" then the path is...skip as much as you can get away with.

That's why I balked at the idea of this guy coming up with all these "paths" on reddit or on these forums.

I'm interpreting the quote Nynja, those aren't my words. From reading the quote, anyone would assume that these are steps that need to be completed in order, regardless of their accuracy.

Is something up with Odin HTMB? I killed it twice on Difficult and did not get any Rem's Tale drops in the pool, only the personal drops at the end.

The HTMBs drop some chapters in the pool and then some additional personal drops. I thought it was weird because Difficult dropped no chapters in the pool, when I would 1 pool chapter on VE, 2 on E, 3 on N, but then zero on D?

I'm sorry, you're right. I'm remembering now that the personal loot were always specific chapters, but you'd get additional random chapters in the pool. Not sure what's up with that.

HTBFs don't have a guaranteed REM Chapters slot in the pool. Those are the Macrocosmic Orb fights where you will always see them in the pool and direct personal drop. The HTBFs just have a direct drop REM guaranteed, but the lower difficulties may just have a guaranteed REM slot to make up for the lower drop rate on armor/accessories.

I can assure you that HTMB's, Selbina and OG's, do have guaranteed REM's in pool, alongside the personal loot. I dug up an older log where I was farming Odin Prime on D and got 3 random REM's every time.

I'm now even more convinced you are Eiryl's sock, because only someone who has never done Gaol HTMBs would say something like that.

That’s so weird, I have gotten guaranteed treasure pool Rem’s on Selvina VE E and N HTMBs. I took a shot at Odin D and didn’t see any pool Rem’s.

I would do Maiden on E then Odin on D

Considering all the spaghetti code and the High-Tier Mission Battlefield Campaign being live, maybe SE broke something with unintended consequences of removing rem's tales from the Selbina fights loot pool.

Are you capped on the storage npc with rem tales?

This happened before the update and the campaigns. Being capped at NPC doesn't affect drops.

Are you sure the log isn't from normal or lower? They definitely drop on lower difficulties, but even in 2019 there was no drop on D:

Apparently I was doing Odin on N.


I know VD my geo was having problems reliably sticking silence for full duration for my MNK to kill in timr. I thought I downgraded to D though, not all the way to N.

Might have been related to the drop rates being ***on D or N, so I just opted for the quicker easier run.
