I figured that might have been it, but I tried a few mobs and it was the same thing. I swear you used to be able to cast Dia and ***from 24 yalms, unless my dad brain really got fried lately.
casting is 21.x, ranged attacks are 24.x

The Mistmaw NM is AFAIK random per area. MacBain NM only appears in Rala so make KI for that. Eudaemon item only affects the normal enemies that appear and bonus for that area - see https://www.bg-wiki.com/ffxi/Category:Alluvion_Skirmish#Eudaemons_in_Cirdas_and_Rala
Using higher level items means bigger area, more time and quality of rewards. Got better results with the higher tier items when used to do it.

Unaugmented Montante +1 is already better than Macbain's best possible stats.

Probably less effort to get the base Montante compared to the augmented Macbain. Macbain looks cool though, and I want it for style lock anyway.

The process is for staying on the same server and changing your name.

I'm using the EU client to log one character in, and they're reliably dcing about once every half hour (perhaps to the second?) I checked the in-game auto-disconnect settings and they're configured to Off. WTF is going on?
