Thf would for sure work assuming you could kill it during perfect dodge :) NIN should be enough tho, but I don't remember how fast it attacks, because I always stun it and it doesn't move :)

You don't need VR at all, Rhapsodies Scintillating Rhapsody KI (essentially full completion of the story) and Seekers of Adoulin complete for main story, don't need extra missions.
Nothing official has ever said VR was necessary. There was a lot of speculation before the content came out. cool i am very happy now i will get on and grind out the new stuff cuss i am not done with wings yet cuss its so long and just annoying. but i just did seekers so i can do SR so i may be forced to do wings nexted
Just got an NQ JSE neck from the gob. Have they always been in the pool?
Keep getting this crash on my laptop when i enter instances and start doing stuff. Anyone run into this?
Mine started before the update, I think its related to packetflow too because that is the only new thing.
That message is typically triggered by the program calling the abort function or an invalid runtime installation. PacketFlow is not calling abort under any conditions(at least mine isn't, and Byrth's was basically identical last I saw), but it could certainly be some kind of countermeasure. That said, given it seems to be happening infrequently, would wait until someone identifies code causing the abort before calling it one.
I would recommend reinstalling your C++ redistributables regardless of whether you continue to use PacketFlow, but given the current state of affairs in Sortie on Asura, it's probably not very community friendly to be using it there anyway. After it started happening I downloaded all of those C++ things and it didn't fix it. I was doing Lilith and it kept happening when I would zone in, summon an avatar and another char started rolls. Then the screen starts super lagging as that message pop up, then crash. Only happens on my laptop, so far turning off packetflow and seeing if it happens again tomorrow.
Interested in the outcome... if it doesn't occur without PacketFlow I might need to give you a special version to try and debug wtf is happening.
Has anyone done a study of holy water vs cursna?
and holy water + gear vs cursna(outgoing gear to base) For completeness, I guess then we could see how much holy water + gear is effective vs cursna with outgoing gear on a cursna received set. Is the magic accuracy of the spikes spells determined on cast, or on hit?
Eh my turdball pushed a button on my kb and I can't remember which one it is.

Not exactly the most rigorous of testing, but I noticed Ice Spikes proccing paralysis quite frequently in Sheol C when I started tanking (RUN) in Nyame, which has a lot more magic accuracy than what I was wearing before. (Might be cognitive bias from noticing that Ice Spikes had a jump in damage from Nyame MAB.) Since MAB is calculated on hit it's likely magic accuracy is too? Offline

Starting to play around with COR. Going to use Holliday while working on Death Penalty. Any advice on augments, or another gun to use?

If you dont want to fight with Doomsday Augments, Molybdosis is fairly cheap to come by (or free) for qd / magic ws as an option. (On Asura is not uncommon to see it in yells from WoC mercs) Offline

Thanks. I guess I forgot that you can quest Leaden/Wildfire without having the completed weapons, so will probably look for MAB based augs.
Minuet / Etude diminishing returns?
Assuming Max potency and/or Soul Voice +9 Etude +8 Minuet Clarion or not, so 4-5 Also assuming 3 Empy pieces providing stat bonus +2 STR? If all 4-5 songs were Minuet at what Minuet level would Etude become a more valuable option? Assuming a STR WS user is at the other end of the songs. Sinew: 18 / 36 STR Herc: 24 / 48 STR Song JP Merit Valor 1:57 / 114 ATK +20 +25 Valor 2:115 / 228 ATK +20 +25 Valor 3:172 / 344 ATK +20 +25 Valor 4:201 / 402 ATK +20 +25 Valor 5:223 / 446 ATK +20 +25 Will Minuet always be greater then even 1 Etude? You need to define the scenario.
Chaos roll? Indi-Fury? Geo-Frailty? Dia III? (How much defense does the target have) As soon as you cap your attack, etude is better. (How do you know when you capped though!?) By being more specific. Unless you're asking, is it better to sing Minuet II or Herc Etude even if I can't cap attack. Since he's talking about diminishing returns on minuets (referring to how tier 1/2 are pretty weak), I assume he's asking about the case where none of the minuets cap your attack.
I haven't mathed it any, but assuming you're buffing Savage Blade users (because that's what's true 90% of the time these days), my gut says that Minuet x4, Etude would be the sweet spot. I can't see 18 STR beating 115 attack even if you've got 3 other minuets already. However, the only remotely reasonable situation I can think of where you could have 5 minuets is if you have 2 bards in some kind of zerg, and at that point you'd probably have all 5 minuets and both etudes anyway if you couldn't cap attack. |
