Just go do the quest lines in the cities. I am aligned with Bastok, but did the Sandy line so I could finish the missions. You don't need to be aligned with the city at all :)

/rdm is very rarely used
but most of the time /war or /dnc for solo things.

So, I haven't done the caturae fights in VW yet. What's the best way to deal with those? Do most people bring a PLD to hold one caturae off to the side?

Everytime I've done it we had a single pld to hold one cat, for all three Radiances. Pld though must have another useful job too cause otherwise it'd be useless for P-Watcher.

Looking for a functioning BLM XML I could copypasta my own gear into. Having windower macros works okay for now, but there are many gear pieces that rely on various conditions and latent effects, and swapping those in manually would be rather troublesome.

What's the general level of competition right now in Abyssea? I've been thinking of coming back and getting a couple of empyreans while getting cash for the 95 upgrade on my Kannagi. Last I played extensively was right before the 99 update.

The few times I've done it we've just had a Monk hold one to the side, they usually die quick enough to make it viable. That, and we proc them enough to keep Fanatics up full time.
Usually we take 2 schs, one holds their two hour and re-embravas each run.
Paladin would probably be a safer choice though, and have them change for PW.

I can post both sets if you want but the only difference between them is the legs, I just want to be sure since I don't ever have a BRD, just a WHM w/ me. Gimme a sec and I'll post full set just swapping out the legs.

I know Kannagi/Str Katana/Brutal/Rajas/Thaumas Coat is what I still need, anything else? Right now just worried about Iga Hakama +2 vs Koga Hakama +2 in this set tho.

Do they only bill once a month, or does my "billable month" start when I reactivate?
I only ask because I could have sworn a year or so ago I heard that they only bill on like the 2nd, so if you reactivated on the 1st you'd be billed twice within a couple of days.

That used to be true, now they'll bill you every 30 days based on when you reactivate.

Sort of FFXI related, does anyone have a Hex code for FFXI to enable AA in nVidia Inspector? I've tried most of the ones that usually work for much older games to no avail, probably because FFXI is ***.
Normally wouldn't care, but for some reason even at maximum supersampling resolution I have an enormous amount of aliasing going on and it is incredibly distracting.

I got a new laptop and want to put FFXI there. I installed all my disk expansions but how do I put on mini-expansions and Abyssea? I updated but it didn't download those, or at least is still displaying the "don't bother going to these expansion areas" thing.
Have you registered the expansion codes?
No, because I don't even have those anymore. They know I've bought those before though.
