How easy is Proto-Omega now? Can be be duoed with a PLD and DRK, or would a healer/more people be needed?

You could do it with ~6 at 75 so it should prove to be a joke now, you still have to watch out for pile pitch though.

Yeah... that was ridiculously easy. PLD could solo it easily.

Now to fight his Arch version. I can only assume that it's actually somewhat difficult?

Which NPC sells the KIs to fight the Naakuals?
Dimmian, East Adoulin F6, on top of the ramp that leads to Rala.
Thank you.

Wasn't hard when I did it at least, it just likes to spam floodlight and stun cannon from what I can remember.
just make sure to bring a blm or 2 (Or Wildfire cors) for the four legged form.

I've only done it once, but I've not seen it spawn a gunpod, so someone else would need to fill you in there.

The gunpods explode 5 seconds after spawn, so you probably wouldn't see them if you're tanking. :p

can do arch with mnk mnk sch brd pretty easily

if you have a lot of people, i recommend troub buffing outside and entering 2 mnk + 1 whm per kill to maximize results

first gunpod pops at like 10 min, if you see it you're doing something wrong

I just came back after a several month break--
Were PS2 "[Controller]" translation phrases removed with the addition of Adoulin? I just realized that would sorta make sense, but I just want to make sure I didn't botch something up on my end. The list looks so empty with only "Analog Stick" and "Trigger". I tried some searches, but I haven't been able to phrase my search properly to get any results.

Yeah, a bunch of terms were removed from the autotranslator last update.
They're all listed under the system-related section of the update notes: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxi/threads/31310?p=411207#post411207

Yes, they were removed, along with other things, to make room for adoulin translations.

Edit: had a customer and was late :(

My group saw a ton of Idi's gloves when we did ARII, maybe our most common drop.

Wouldn't need 6, did it with 3 early on before two of us got our mules access. Mnk Blu Whm was the earlier setup, and then switched to Mnk Thf Brd Sch+Whm(the mules).

Wouldn't take to many melee to ARII. There's a max of two weapon unlocks before the 5th floor.
Khimaira's are both pretty easy if your healer knows to stay out of range and sort of predict TP moves.

What is a good alternative quest for raising Windurst Fame, instead of using Cornette's?

I need to raise Windy fame, but Bastok is in 3rd at the moment. So I can't buy Cornette's there. :(

Ok guys, I have a very dumb question.

I'm editing a pre-made DRK xml for spellcast (http://guildwork.com/characters/ffxi/carbuncle/elvaanmoq/spellcast). I changed all of the sets to what I use, but I have no idea how to macro the PDT/MDT sets. The only other job I use spellcast for atm (PLD) has a "fake" spell that I macro in, and it changes my set. I don't see that in this one, so how exactly do I macro my PDT/MDT? Thanks for the help with such a noob question, but I'm pretty new to the whole spellcast thing. Thanks!

Seriously? Jeesh... so why does my other xml use a fake spell instead of just that?

Hi, I am starting to level a SCH (my first mage char) and am having trouble healing people in other groups of the alliance, I'm sure there was a keybind or combination of keys that made it eaiser to target people in the other groups, anybody can help me out ?

Thanks.

If you're using windower you can also hit CTRL/ALT + F1-F6 to target other alliance members when not engaged.

Do the same geo buffs stack?

ie Cast Indi-Regen and Geo-Regen and get twice the regen.

I don't think so. I'm not even sure 2 geo can double regen to stack.
