And don't be upset about the overweight thing. It is something we need to realize is an actual problem in America. Our overweight society is the unhealthy kind of overweight. Not like the larger people in other cultures. =(

I'd like to see the studies for that. Because there are alot of them for the cost of fat people

I just love how people can't differentiate between "I haven't gotten out of bed in 3 years, can't fit through the door of my house, or need a *** wheelchair at Wal-Mart because I can't support my own weight" fat, and "I'm like 30-40 pounds overweight, but could still kick your *** ***" fat.

Seriously, the "GTFO fatties" people make me sick. It's really *** easy for some people to be fit. For other's, it's GODDAMN HARD. Harder then you naturally skinny people will ever *** imagine.

BTW, I'm overweight...but I'm in the second tier. I work physically harder then everyone around me, and always have. I actually got ***on by people at my last job because I made a lot of them look bad, since I accomplished 3 times as much as they did in half the time. So just because someone is bigger, don't think you know how hard they work, or how strong they are. Or better yet, do. One day, you'll be calling the wrong guy a *** fat *** and get your *** stomped the *** out.

Yeah it isn't this I'm a little overweight thing that's the real problem it's these 5 year old kids who are 300+ lbs and ***.

Well, if you're 40 or so pounds overweight, thats one thing... but like #2 said, to wake up one day after three years and can't fit through the front door, yeah there will be issues there.

What's scarier still are babies, some no older than 4, weighing 3 times more than the average kid their age.

Yeah, the kids being massively overweight, that's *** up. Of course, they need to be doing testing to make sure that it isn't a glandular problem, but feeding a 3 year old McDonald's every day is sick...

Like I said, my main issue is that a lot of skinny people, and I mean a LOT, see fat as fat, regardless of degree. And the media and "hollywood standard" doesn't help much either. It's real easy for models and actor's and actresses to be in perfect physical condition every single day, because they have personal trainers/nutritionists that ***there and baby sit them all day, every day. Most people can't afford that luxury...

A 3yo came on the show, and his mom admitted to feeding him pizza, burgers, fries, bacon, pretty much a lot of fatty foods.

Then she continued to say that he would keep eating, and when he was still hungry, he'd throw a fit till she finally gave in and fed him more.

Ya know, they could switch most of that food with fruits and veggies, and if he don't want it, then he won't get anything else.

I know what I'd feed him for throwing that fit... back of my hand. Another thing I'm angry about. The current solution to kids being out of control is to indulge them. Cause they clearly know what's best for them...

parents from back in the day made sure we ate right, and the kids were always outside playing. Kids these days sit in their rooms on the xbox and whatnot.

lol... So, people need to have personal trainers / nutritionists to have an 'easy' time staying fit? Since when is it hard to know how to eat right? And since when is it hard to know that you should walk/jog/run/do push-ups/etc.?

Here's your first set of tips...

Lay off the pre-processed food first.

Secondly, lay off the additives and condiments.

Also, keep the simple/empty carbs to a minimum.

Balance your meals in more ways than one. Not only do you need a balanced diet that includes many areas of the 'food pyramid' and many sources of vitamins/minerals...
You also need to balance your calorie intake throughout the day. Eating one huge meal and two 'snack-size' meals isn't the way to go. Also... Midnight snacks...? No better way to add fat straight onto your body.

Next, control the size of your portions. If you're sitting on your *** all day for work and barely exercising, you don't need 3000 calories/day.

Next, supplement your diet with a 'small' amount of vitamin supplements. This doesn't mean eat a 2000 calorie diet that completely neglects iron/calcium and then go take a ton of iron/calcium supplements.
Natural forms are ALWAYS the best way to go.

Lol didn't even see that. I always had to beg for more food. And really my dad couldn't really cook to begin with so there wasn't much choice... hell I wasn't even given the choice to not eat something. I would eat it or else. I was weird though I started eating more then my dad when I was like 5... and someone stayed decently underweight. Wasn't till I start running alot that I was finally considering in weight standards and that was still very close to underweight. Wasn't till I was working 12+ hour days 6-7 days a week on various meds and no sleep and no exercise that I actually stopped looking rediculously skinny.

Pfft. I sat in my room and played with my SNES all day. I was a nerd. I didn't have friends except for my video games. Except for those times I had to run away from bullies... I guess that was my exercise. XD

Kids nowadays need to be pimp slapped is all. Get rid of all of this politically correct BS and bring back spankings in the house and in the school!

That's cause if a kid wants to run around outside all the time nowadays instead of veg out he clearly has ADHD... so we drug them until he becomes a couch potatoe.

ADD AND ADHD ARE FAKE DISEASES IN CHILDREN... Wen I was a kid, my *** was outside all afternoon, I did my homework and went outside. Only thing my dad told me was to stay outta trouble and be back before nightfall.

Son, I speak onry the truth. I was raised in a house where if I *** up or didn't listen, I got the message printed on my *** and know what? Didn't happen again. To this day I'm still afraid of *** up because of the firm childhood raising I had. And I'm 24. My momma didn't let me slip up. And to this day I love her for that. <3

I remember once being forced to go to a domestic violence thing cause they were doing it for all navy people. And the speaker was like well sometimes you just gotta pick your battles if you don't make an issue of things then you wouldn't be fighting with your kid... and like all the guys in there were like wtf!?! Your letting your child take charge and not only raise themselves but apparently you too? And she was like well sometimes if my kid feels very strongly about something she wont listen to my punishment plus she doesn't really care if shes sent to her room with computer music etc. Yeah try saying no to an *** whooping. Guess what it's still gonna hurt. Or even better make them do some hard manual labor if you got something available.

yeah, I got my *** whooped too when I did bad things, unfortunately I was hard headed, so I needed more beatings than most kids.

Plus, internet and such weren't as cool as today, so it didn't hold our attention long.

*** fake disease its like the definition of being a child. Being calm and focused and goal oriented is part of growing up. Running around doing a million things is part of being a kid. Just cause you can't handle your kid doesn't mean he needs to be doped up. Hell if you gave me a homework assignment in 4th grade I would've totally blown you off and went to play dodgeball even if you threatened to flunk me.

I never sat still as a kid, climbing trees, making carboard box forts, all the good stuff. If I had a stick back then, I would have had fun for hours lol
