I'm not quitting. I spent alot of money on this and time. Just cause a new one comes doesn't mean I quit, what if ff14 turns out to be short and not what we expected and I'd be kicking myself in the *** cause of it.

Yeah, all the people that say "OMG I'M OUT OF HERE FFXI IS SO OLD NOW" kinda make me laugh, because for all we know, FFXIV could be like FFVIII was on the single player games...completely different, misunderstood, and a lot of fans will hate it.

Besides, if FFXI is so boring that you are chomping at the bit to play something else...just play something else now? No one will hold it against you, people quit FFXI all the time lol

I just needed a small break from XI, which I got from being sick, so it's decent now. I just really, really like new, so I've got high hopes for XIV.

But I won't be paying to play both - it will be one or the other. If I enjoy XIV for longer than a week, then goodbye XI. If XIV dies in a matter of months, I have tons of other games for XBL. Trust me: I, indeed, can live without XI.

So, basically, if FFXIV is good, you'll stick with it. If it's crap, you'll quit, but you're done with FFXI regardless?

I just hear from so many people about how they're sick of the grind, and the ***is so tedious, and they been playing for 6 years, and they don't wanna level another job to 75, etc etc...

I say, quit if you're unhappy. I'll miss those that do quit, that are my friends, but I'd rather they not be dragging through the game and not giving a ***, ya know?

Besides, they can give me all their gear when they leave ^^

Those that complain of "I'm tired of leveling another job to 75" is stupid, if they get ffxiv, they will have to level a job...

I like XI, but I'm really excited for XIV.

When XIV comes out, I will get it. I'll be paying for both for a week. If I enjoy XIV for about a week, then I'll drop XI. If I don't like it, I'll drop XIV.

Keep in mind I've only been playing for about a year, so it's not like I'm dropping decades of play time. I did the same thing for PSU to FFXI. I played PSU for about two years since release, and I moved here with no problem. I have fun when I play, so the thought of 'wasting all this time playing' doesn't exsist to me. Not sure why you are snapping at me #2. ; ;

LOL, there is always those looking for drama about leaving or dying or need to get out of this. Than a few months pass by and boom there back with a new set of friends doing the same ***. I think Xxnumbertwoxx hits it on the nose. If you dont wanna play go, don't tell me why you gotta go just go. I care for the people I played with for a long time now its like what ever cause too many are complaing. I log in not to do the "Grind" but to have a good time. Seems that is getting a wee bit rare with all the bellyachers around.

Oh, I'm not snapping at you, I'm not trying to fight with ya or anything. I've just heard a few people that share your mindset as far as moving to FFXIV right away, and it seems to me that it's all borne out of "I'm so tired of FFXI"...that's what I don't get. FFXIV is gonna be a grind, too. ALL MMO's are a grind lol. What's new now ain't gonna be new in 2 years. Then everyone will be in the same boat they are now, albeit with prettier graphics.

I dunno, I've just never been the kind of guy that just jumps into ***like that. As far as games go, I'm usually a renter, ya know? If a game is awesome, I buy it, if not, oh well, 6 bucks gone...if I hear from everyone that FFXIV is the ***, and more importantly, my friends are willing to move, then I'll switch. Until then, *** FFXIV, I'm sticking with what I know ^^

LoL You guys are nuts! I'll play both, I play other games too, WoW, xbox games, etc. So this is just another addition to my fun.

If XI was free, then I would play both. Or vise versa. But I have XI and XBL already, and that ***adds up fast with a bunch of monthly fees. And I hate renting games. If it looks good, I just buy it. I don't mind trials, like over XBL Marketplace, but I don't rent games, just don't. I jump games fast, low attention span, lol. And I hope XIV has grind. I love grinding. I love taking months to do stuff, as long as I'm working on it often, lol. I don't consider grinding something I can only do once a week (i.e Einherjar items, only go once a week in my ls). I'm far from bored with XI, I can play this for years. I left PSU because it got too easy. And by the looks of it, XI is starting to go down that path too, obtaining exp is getting easier and easier...but technically, hitting 75 is just the start in XI.

I'm just super excited because I'm a mad fan of FF, any news of a new one makes me more excited than a 15 year old in a titty bar, so I say some crazy things. I'm not really going to completely disreguard XI the second XIV comes out. And with the friends thing, all my friends (close ones anyway) are coming to XIV as well, and they make XI fun. So as long as we all are playing XIV, then it will be fun reguardless. =)

Yea make XI free!!!!! And just make Server transfer to pay.
