DNC Advice?

I'm looking for some good Dancing Edge pieces for the early 70's.
I've got a set planned out for 75, but at the rate I get PT invites, even with Campaign, that'll be a little bit.
So yeah, any advice would be welcome. I feel like I'm missing something overly obvious.

I can't really give you gear pieces since I can't look at wiki at work but what I do on my THF is Acc>Str>Dex. Dex is one of the mods for DE along with lolCHR but I noticed and I think many other have noticed that STR helps out more.

Ya, my DNC is 74 (finally lol), but the only time I ever WS is in campaign...usually hoarding TP cuz I'm main healing, and only time I swap gear is for steps and sambas ATM.



Ya DNC CHR is fine...prolly just swap in as much DEX as possible. As I already stack Dex and ACC to make sure I'm hitting ***and getting TP, I don't really worry about that stuff

Yeah it is. I had a fully meritted 75DNC in my Sky shell for a bit and it ALMOST made me want to level it. Then I came to my senses.

DNC's awesome, I don't care what anybody says. ^^

I loved it up until 30ish where soloing became a little bit harder.

If you can push through and make it to 40 you'll prolly be happier with it...Reverse Flourish makes DNC a whole lot easier.

No way. I'm having a hard enough time getting it to 37 for my MNK sub.

I did my best to keep it to level 70 but some pieces went a bit beyond for what I thought was best to suit the weapon skill.

But you can check out the set I came up with here.

In short I basically had a foundation of good attack and accuracy, as that is important for any multi hit weapon skill, but to assure it breaks through and gives decent numbers considering DNC's B+ skill in dagger, I added a hefty handful of modifiers including DEX, STR and just a pinch of CHR since it's the last of the mods and the least noticeable.

I hope this helps give a good idea of what a DE setup look like, and i'm sure after a few tests you can tweek it exactly to your liking ^^

Besides full Enkidu's? The usual really, focus on ACC+ first then ATT+. I would say:

Head: O-Hat or Cobra Cap
Neck: P Charm or Spectacles
Ears: Suppanomimi/Merman's or Coral
Body: Assault Jerkin or Scorp Harness
Hands: Cobra Mittens
Rings: Raja's/Sniper's/Woodsman/Ecphoria/Assailant's
Waist: Potent Belt
Legs: Dancer's Tights or Clown Subilgar
Feet: Dancer's Toe Shoes

Looks like some beat me to it. >.> My advice is still better. lol And yeah, Cobra is pretty decent... As far as acc/store tp goes... But Enkidu's not too hard to get, even w/ pickup groups and has some AMAZING stats for Dnc.

DNC at 75 is pretty awesome. @_@ It has a lot of potential depending on how much you're willing to spend on it. My DNC is almost complete gear wise, just missing some Relic and ZNM drops.

Enkidu is stingy.

She was looking mainly for a DE set. :P And some of those suggestions are just bad... Like Wivre Gorget. Chiv > Wivre unless you're trying to use Ranged to inflict status effects or DD.

My LS hasn't done ZNM in months. We're focusing on clearing up Sky and Sea drops atm. Which kinda sucks since ZNM's are kinda fun but tedious.

If you're doing ACP should get the Mirke with Acc+10 and Duel Wield + 3%. It's pretty damn good body piece for WS and TPing.

Haha, we think alike! That's what I was going to go for. It's tempting to pick up Royal though, for the MAcc/MAB until Morrigan's Robe =/

Yeah, Royal's pretty sweet for Rdm nuking.
