Iron Man > Batman

Not a good assumption that Batman would stay still, but I'm still putting my money down on Shellhead. Superior technology and also superior battle tactics, imo:
-Batman is a street brawler experienced at dealing with thugs hand-to-hand
-Iron Man is a one-man battalion experienced at dealing with enemies of equal or superior power and/or higher numbers overall.

....now....That said: If we had like an actual slugfest where it's just Tony Stark vs. Bruce Wayne (e.g. no additional tech) then yeah, Wayne takes it.

I'll take the suit for sure, would be fun.

bats has the upper hand, at most they are on par, since bats is one of the most tactical ppl in the DCU

Actually, Bruce Wayne is described as having a genius level IQ, he's also a trained ninja, and an extremely resourceful and tactful person. To put it simply, Batman > Ironman.

I'm not downplaying Bats' tactical abilities, I am differentiating the types of tactics they both use. As I mentioned: Batman is not generally fighting against either an arbitrarily large number of targets at once, nor is he attempting to take on foes which overshadow him by a large margin. Throw something like a Sentinel at Batman and see who comes out on top.

Which is why I think in something like an Old Timey Boxing Match Bruce definitely comes out on top: Bruce's physical combat training > Tony's; However from a tech standpoint, Tony starts at the advantage as far as their battle suits and armaments are concerned. Tony's tactical combat training > Bruce's.

Bruce doesnt have to go Physical to take down ironman

so Bats should be on par with Ironman.

Still not sure about that one. Batman has Wayne Enterprises which is like the leading company of technology, iirc and Batman is pretty savvy with it.

How Iron Man wins the fight: Tech, Firepower, Flight, Brute Force

Iron Man would need to stay at distance in order to achieve victory due to Batman's superior hand to hand combat training. Iron Man's repulsor rays alone should be enough to fry Batman. Assuming that doesn't work, he has a massive array of weaponry at his disposal. His suit is durable enough to protect him from anything tech wise Batman has to throw at him. Despite Batman's superior athletic training and endurance, Iron Man should be able to outlast him.

How Batman wins: Brains over Brawn, and then Lots of Brawn.

Outsmart, Outplay, Outlast.
Batman is much more cunning and stealthy than Iron Man. He would have to play towards his strengths and resort to using his near perfect physical conditioning to get the jump on Iron Man. If he could set an ambush for Iron Man and/or somehow disable his suit and take the fight straight to him, Batman could conceivably detain or dismantle Starks suit. Once this is done, It's easy pickings for the much more physically superior Wayne.

I wouldn't say so, no. I know the two of them have had a knock down drag out relatively recently but... No. I wouldn't put Cap on par w/ Iron Man?

Iron man loses almost every 1v1 fight he gets into. Cap kicked his ***, Thor destroyed his suit, Hulk destroyed his suit..the guy is a loser. He relies on his suit for everything without it he is pretty much done. Batman would have no problem with him.

Umm... I don't think anyone in the thread would deny that Iron Man relies on his suit for everything but I mean... c'mon. You aren't seriously expecting him to be able to do anything against Thor & Hulk, right? Not that I'm a fan of either particularly, especially Hulk. But those guys are in a different league altogether.

Thor is a God and Hulk is just...a beast. (No offense Hank McCoy)

You'd be hard pressed to find more than a very select few who can stand toe-to-toe with either one.

I would expect iron man to have the same amount of success against cap Thor hulk as he would against batman. None.

this is why they need to either do a new marvel/dc universe cross over arch or make a marvel vs. dc universe video game so people can decide for themselves. tbh it all comes down to favortisim, every hero/villan has thier own strenghts and weaknesses.

Sumo has a point though. If Batman sets up a tactic to disable his suit, it would be interesting.

Now if you put both in a ring, then chances are Ironman would missile the *** outta him. When you have a huge city as a battlefield...anything can happen.

You don't have to kill Iron man. Just Tony Stark. Without his armor, he's got nothing on Batman.
