I think we need some closure here. Tell us what your friends said, what they did, how they now hate you, etc...
Give us SOMETHING juicy.

See, what happened is your light luggage plug-in bugged and tossed the sword for you, so the action of tossing it still occurred and SE isn't going to help you with windower bugs, sorry!

So i just finished my 90 Almace. I was like all yay and happy and crap right...then i sorted my items...............
The freaking thing droped from my items >.<!!!!!!!!!
just finished talking to a gm...and because i did a restore on my character like 5 years ago...they wont restore the item...but im refusing to take that as the answer...i had the GM send my request to an SGM....
had the sword for all of 9 seconds....
I highly doubt that it was a computer error that dropped an item, especially with it showing the message, "you throw away an Almace".
And yeah, that timestamp in your screenshot has only murdered any case at all. While SE acknowledge a large amount of their playerbase use third-party tools it is against ToS and they're most certainly not going to help you.

I was quite inclined to not comment on this particular issue and even restrained myself from doing so. But considering that two people commented about it...
It's quite infuriating know that such a error happened and being unable to put the blame on anyone (or anything) besides oneself.
Let this be a warning about the dangers of tools made to automate "boring tasks" such as throw away unwanted items. -_-;

I think the GMs should at least be human and have sympathy. "Oh yeah, you just dropped that and you prolly worked really hard on it. That really sucks, lemme help you out" Shouldn't matter that it's against ToS, it's not like he drops an 80 version and they give him a 99 version. He's just asking for them to take a minute out of their day and fix his accident.

This might be the greatest reason to not use a plugin that I have ever read.

I think you're all taking it too far. I think he was tired and meant to sort his inventory and accidentally threw it away.
I've done that a lot before. Thankfully on nothing of great value.

To OP:
Did you happen to have a LL profile loaded that passes everything except a few items?
Edit: I know it's very easy to forget to turn those profiles back off >_>

Not at all and I'm not saying they would. Just that they should. That Almace is gone forever more than likely. That's more of a day dream kinda thing where SE is actually pretty chill and listen to us, GMs aren't ***, etc.

If it was actually an error on SE's end, i'd be inclined to agree. However in this case i really don't. It appears it was dropped by user error, either by dropping it while tired by mistake or by keeping a light-luggage profile running that's set to automatically pass items. Both ways, it's operator error therefore it's not SE's fault and they have no obligation to sort it.

I'm fairly sure lightluggage doesn't toss anything already in your inventory, it just passes items in the pool.

It wouldn't have been already in inventory when it's traded to moogle and i presume even though it's not technically a pool, it's still an incoming item.
Idk, someone test it on rabbit hide npc? lol
Edit: And, now i've never used LL but i presume it's a different item ID thingy? Different stats on sword as such therefore LL wouldn't recognise it as already in inventory?

He tossed it on accident. That is what caused it. I can't believe this is being debated.

I may be going out on a limb here, but 99% sure what may probably caused this is he selected to drop it like a boss while sorting his inventory, then shortly after ignored the 2 messages that asked him if he was sure he wanted to. :3

It says You throw away a Almace. That means he selected hit enter on the next to Are you sure you wanna do this and hit enter a 3rd time.
auto-sort will just keep stuff in pool if your inv. is full. If inv not full will just auto sort does not dispense anything out of your inv.
edit: it's not even in the same option menu as drop....(unless you select the item first)
By Powerslave 2012-01-14 16:30:20
I'm going with the theory that a plug-in caused you to lag and proceed to do some clicks without being able to see you were dropping your almace, either that or you just actually dropped it by accident without realizing.
