280 is delay cut by martial arts trait. It goes under -80% total delay reduction so when its true that naked MNK with Spharai will have 280+86 delay it cant be said that Spharai pure DPS (as weapons comparison) can be calculated with this lower delay. Its important because total delay for Spharai MNK can go as low as 566*0.2 not 366*0.2
Its pretty the same as saying naked DRK Ragnarok delay would be 353 ( Thats avg delay counting Last resort up/down) but Ragnarok delay is still 431.
Which won't happen unless you're getting haste samba anyways.
It really doesnt matter how achievable is that. WAR cant reach cap with Ukonvasara ( w/o samba ) either and that doesnt change the fact Ukonvasara is 482.

Duh? Unless you do your TP Per hit based on 566, it's not 566 delay. It's 366 with delay reduction capped at 566*.8 Same situation as ninjas.

When talking about weapon DPS you cant really take into account delay reduction traits.
I guess its just personal point of view more than some rule so lets drop it.
Hey Austar, can you do me a favor? Can you weigh the relative pros and cons of two weapons as they apply to real, in-game situations by using perimeters that are literally inapplicable in real, in-game situations?

Truth was told many times in this thread. They are close and depending on the situation one will beat another.
