Ok I understood this. My follow-up question would be what is best filled in 2nd earring and ammo slot now? Really Potestas and Ghillie?
Potestas or Hagneia Stone(depends on h2h choice and wether or not Hagneia contributes to a reduced attack round). Nothing is better than Ghillie +1 atm.
In capped accuracy and attack situations Tantra Earring is better than Ghillie +1

Epona's is better than Oneiros Ring, so no.
The usage of these two rings is not mutually exclusive-they are both used at the same time in situations you have Regain (or at least these are the only situations I use Onieros in). So long as the mobs do not drain MP(or you swap out to Rajas when they do)--the 2% TA from this ring for things like Legion and VW is quite nice.
What's needed to kill the NM for Onieros Ring?

I cannot imagine what you proposed is possibly better than Thaumas Hat/Tenryu Tekko+1 instead (assuming accuracy is capped).

Following the thread, I didn't propose anything better than it. Pre-augments, Athos's Chapeau / AF3+2 head was better for Berserk up; the augments on Tenryu +1 pieces open several TP sets up; however, most people assume those pieces to be out of reach. My answer to his Tenryu +1 head question was specific, because I assumed he won head +1 from the contest.
The question of Tenryu Somen +1 vs. Athos's Chapeau / AF3+2 during Berserk up, Tenryu Somen with a haste augment of 5 or more would be better. G. Mask is better for Berserk down (assuming otherwise standard TP sets)
I have Thaumas hat, just no tekko +1. Tbh it's been a good month since I last used MNK for much and completely forgot about Thaumas/hand combo for Zerk up.
All other things aside, with all of the haste on Tenryu head/hands--it will be interesting to see what combos can be made with new gear. I can't help but think that it will be quite a while before something replaces Thaumas body/AF3+2 legs though.

It's hard to say when exactly you're capped on most mobs, as we don't know the exact defence values of most mobs.
But in VW it's pretty easy to reach 1.5k attack and at that point it's for the most part pretty safe to say you're capped as a MNK, as 1hand weapons only need 2x mob defence in attack to cap.

Been looking through the thread a little. I've got a vere i;ve pretty much never used once yet.. I'm looking too just use my mnk too smash down some shinryu's. my mages gonna be whmx2+brd. Would you guys suggest a hybrid tp/dt set for shinryu or just straight dmg tp?

Until procced, might aswell just go with PDT, in my experience this thing can be really annoying to successfully proc, and can die too fast in a full DD set if unlucky.
Once procced, wait for it to dive so it never absorbs dmg then zerg it down.
With 2 WHMs and a BRD you should'nt have any issues without a brew.

New to this thread and this is going to be a dumb question. But would it be better to use Tantra head +2 and melee gloves +2 over a ganesha's and tantra gloves +2 for TP? (not talking situational) Just for over all in abyssea and outside.
You need 25-26% listed haste in your tp set. Assuming you have that using ganesha's mask+melee gloves +2 it is probably better unless you are attack capped (you don't really need to worry about this if you are new to the thread, default to assuming you aren't for now). If you aren't getting 26% w/ that combo, I would switch to ganesha's+tantra gloves inside abyssea, and tanra head and melee gloves outside. If thats still not taking you to 26% haste, you should wear tantra head+hands.

This is a slight spin off of the original topic, but how about some TP sets for Voidwatch, where you can (and I'm pretty sure should) use a maxed out Atmacite of the Valiant (Haste +5%).

Even without the head and body pieces, that's 23% Haste, so you get a lot of options available to complete the set...

When i'm not attack capped I keep ganesha's/melee+2, when I am attack capped I switch to thaumas/mustela. Not specifically mathed so i'm not sure if thats ideal.
I use tantra head +2 and mel gloves +2 because I'm full-timing Tantra Cyclas so I'm not at haste cap if I put on Ganesha's Mask

Assuming Haste Atmacite and Voidwatch, yeah, probably the best choice. Outside it does less
just to be sure, nefarious collar + rancorous mantle > rancor collar+ahteling?
I think that's only for WS, and only if attack is capped...

You can/should use Potestas Bomblet in the ammo slot if you don't need the accuracy provided from the af3 Tantra Tathlum.
