Simple question... What are the top GS for resolution out of the magian trials line? I have calad for myself but I am looking for something that will help the wife out. I don't really want to do another calad (unless I really need to) and I would do a ragnarok for myself before I would waste one on her. (*** I am a ***!)

Also, of you that have played with it.. What do your /ws builds look like?

Some of the GS I was considering....

Fulgurante:
DMG:56 Delay 480
Dmg +48 Occ. Atk. Twice

Tenebreuse:
Dmg: 123 Delay 444
Str+11 Atk+26

Kauriraris:
/WS damage +10 or TP bonus option...

I'm not a GS drk by nature so I am asking before I really get into something I don't wanna *** with later.

Thanks for any constructive input. ^^

I have the OAT GS and she work realy realy great for Resolution, the base damage is enouth to dont realy notice the difference in WS damage, already done some 6,5k dmg in Abyssea with it, and 4,5k outside abyssea (on EP mobs), and with SAM subjob and her 480 delay the 6hit build is super easy to get.

And since the modifier of theses new WS are realy huge, you only get a realy poor % of différence from the base DMG, like theyr said for the OAT Polearm in this thread of the official forum @ the post N°8~

WS dmg +10% is the best option

OAT by far the best option. Easy 6 hit, can 4 hit with VW regain and save tp atma, and you are able to load accuracy into your 6 hit for in case there is an issue on the new T6 Jeuno.

You can 5-hit this and maintain 26% haste.

There's lots of ways to do it, but mine is the silliest and thus best.

And I think for the WS set, it should include the elemental gorget and belt because that fTP bonus is applied to all 5 hits. Source.

Just gonna throw this out there, what I would go for:

Edit: PERSON BELOW ME IS NOT SILLY ENOUGH. DISREGARD HIS ITEM SET!

Eww though it def. sucks using that tactical mantle. Losing 35 Attack and 3 Double Attack isn't worth it for .5% haste you are trying to get from the grip.

25 Haste, Close enough. Neck Slot is free for whatever.
15+28 Store TP.
20.5 TP per Hit.
Store TP+5 Double Attack+2 on Adaberk (Ideally)

A full resolution should give 22.2 TP return. You can connect with up to 3 hits and still 5 hit. You can tweak gear even more for a true 5 hit regarding a WS build but there isn't much point.

Would this beat Caladbolgs DoT though? Base DMG is comparable to an 85 Calad.

Edit: Askar+5 is coming out as well. It will make things easier with little sacrifice.

Correct me if i'm wrong but that set is 15+28 giving 19.5 a hit no?

I'm not sure why you would bother.

Red Curry Buns which would further increase my Resolution numbers. Carbonara isn't really needed.

HP +25
Strength +7
Agility +1
Intelligence -2
Attack +24.7% (Cap: 150@652 Base Attack)

VS

HP +14% (Cap: 175 @ 1249 Base HP)
MP +10
Strength +4
Vitality +2
Intelligence -3
Attack +18% (Cap: 65 @ 361 Base Attack)
Store TP +6

So you can drop Tyrant's for Blitz Ring? (Roughly .5 Haste)

3 STR, and about 118 including Tyrant's Ring's Attack in the TP phase. (110 in regards to weaponskills) Also you could wear either Bale Choker or the Quad Attack Necklace already. That aside does Red Curry also have that latent party effect?

it also comes down to.

Also sorry I misread the grip's subtle blow as store tp -5.

(My Set)
Haste 25
"Double Attack" 13
Attack 82
"Store TP" 25
DEF 152
STR 21
DEX 12
Accuracy 19
Suble Blow+5

Amonk's Set
Attack 20
"Store TP" 39
HP 30
STR 27
DEX 6
"Subtle Blow" -15
Haste 26
"Double Attack" 5
AGI 6
Accuracy 4

You are greatly over compensating on Store TP. Also with an OaT weapon wouldn't large chunks of subtle blow screw you over in the long run? (Voidwatch, exp it wouldn't matter)

I'll take my 62 Attack, 8 Double Attack, 20 Subtle Blow and 15 accuracy over your set. With Red Curry buns. Despite the weapon being OaT Double Attack should still be beneficial. Not to mention the grip would effect resolution.

Askar Korazin (even NQ) would also be a great body, yes?
edit: nevermind, did not see the pole grip on your set.
just gonna use rose strap then lol

Adaman Hauberk would in the least have 4-5 Store TP hitting 20.5 per hit. Are you taking into account the 480 delay or the 528 delay after trials?

Bale+2 and Rose Strap could work to be honest. Depending on content though you may want some form of accuracy on the body. Since the Ace's Combo may make you whiff during say VoidWatch with red curry unless you eat Pizza+1

So how do people think this ws will be with ragnarak i pick mine up in ten days and im planning to be spamming this ws xD.

Well next update you should be able to 6 hit Rag pretty easy. Rag should do fine to be honest since it would gain Tp so fast. Assuming you get it to 95 the aftermath/ damage increases would help dot. and the base damage/accuracy would have you set on certain gear choices.

As for how Rag does with resolution

Your set has 15+28 sTP. The great sword we are talking about has 480 delay (I'm not sure what 528 weapon you're talking about, a scythe?), which would give you 18.5TP each hit, or 92.5TP for 5 hits. You would need 9 hits to land on the WS 'hit' to get 100% in 4 swings and a WS.

I don't mean to belabor the point, but with your set you need 6 hits at 25% haste, and with mine you need 5 hits at 26% haste. I understand the argument about attack and DA and all that, but I believe the orthodoxy is still x-hit > haste > all.

Sorry my eye sight isn't the best lately I could have sworn OaT weapons had some + delay thrown on them. Worst comes worst you need to add in Rose strap/ Houyi's Gorget. You should honestly be able to get by at 19.5 per hit spamming resolution. This would be much better when Askar+5 comes out though. I would strongly advise against the tactical mantle.

I feel like an idiot though thinking it had a +48 delay augmented on it.

This is the set I use for resolution. Ragnarok will definitely win due to dot. I don't worry about a hit build because I use discipline and coercion and usually a cor using misers roll which gives me 50+ tp return from resolution

how would Borealis and Hoarfrost Blade fare for resolution?

Borealis would prob be the best to use since that "Occasionally deals severe weapon skill damage" would come in handy depending on how often it will proc and how "severe" the dmg is

i know the DEX is kinda useless in a way but i was thinking on the base dmg.

i only ask about these 2 GSs since i have caladbolg and had enough of weapons trials and i just got Hoarfrost Blade but spam enough of Dunes VW to hopefully get lucky on the HQ
