Honestly, if SE would've nerfed it 6 months ago like that should have people wouldn't be so upset. Now, it's hard to blame people for being upset.

This is why we can't have nice things. Anyone know how bad this is going to gimp Ukko's? Ukon is my next emp in progress, maybe I should stop and do Bravura instead. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks~

Those two weapon skills are very damn strong out of their current status. Why do you people whine whine over 2 weapon skills? two jobs? haha all jobs can be over powered if you gear them right... i take it you havent seen cor or bst 1 shotting under brew? or how quad cont. can do 2-3k? or sch two hour just owns? you dont see them nerfing that ***

Sch 2hr is 2hr nothing wrong with that which won't last long. 2-3k damage from Blu isn't overpowered. They can easily burn through MP if they spam from what I seen. Victory Smite/Ukko's Fury do substantial damage with their repsectful Empys. Well I have had my Ukkon for 6 months. And have enjoyed the buffs since they came out. If I they were so over powered, why wait so long to nerf them?? I bought all there expansions. Even the stupid ones. My bill has never late. Why punish me , or people like me. If I have read everything correctly it is not just a little nerf. But a large one over all.

Im surprised no one has posted up the Rangers converting into blackmage pic, shopped with warriors converting into Sams now. You know its whats going to happen to so many people.

That's... a lot lower than I expected even. I was guessing 15%-20% I wonder if this implies that JR will also be getting the nerf gun. Very interesting. Remember the RNG & NIN nerf way back? When they added positioning to ranged attacks and made you lose enmity when you lost a shadow?
I'm pretty sure every RNG in the game quit. It wasn't just that what they did man.
Before a RNG was able to pop a 1.5k Slug Shot with a freaking Dog Bolt lol. That's why they quit, because it wasn't just a distance issue. They completely revamped the damage RNG did, they nerfed it and murdered it. With correct distance, you were able to get *close* to the damage you did before, but never at it or near it. The Ninja nerf was painful, because a lot of Ninja's main tanked. Lacking personal enmity tools it hurt the job, then the /DRK /RDM nerf also hurt the job further pushing it further away from tanking at all. It reduced Ninja to a pretty horrid selection as a tanking job. Ninja didn't really get tanking rights again till Abyssea. Yeah though, so many people quit. They hated it, things were so expensive I knew friends who pumped millions into RNG then. Woosh, out the window. Yeah, I know all about it. I wasn't mocking it, it was a really terrible nerf, but the logic behind the game mechanic of placement of the ranger and was sound.
RNGs were still the best DDs around when I was leveling PLD, which, for the most part, was after the nerf. It took me years to get 75, probably hold the record for the slowest ever. And as you can see I have no other max level Jobs besides WHM which was Abyssea burned. It was sad they were so rare in the first place due to firing gil at enemies, and then that happened. SAM in its glory days (until post-65/70 merit style PTs) didn't nearly compare. But it was still sad to see them all disappear. |
