At what point do you hit the point of no return in deciding; 'this is the mythic i'm going to do' in the quest process?

Is it after you trade in the alex/books/nyzul/einherjar stuff ( After quest: "Duties, Tasks and Deeds")?

100% positive? If so that's kinda crappy.. It's been ages and i havent cared for it. Now i do care.. i wan't a different weapon.

I'm quite positive..doing a mythic myself and have looked at it from every possible way, about to turn in my weapon soon too because I absolutely have to :x
