That's the craziest theory I've ever heard! I can only think of a few JA off the top of my head with secondary magic checks and the magical side of them doesn't need to take effect for them to be able to proc. Macc check for procs on most other JA doesn't even make sense since they have no magical properties to begin with.
Yeah I thought it was kinda crazy when I heard it. The way I always imagined dynamis procs was a giant spinning wheel with all the procs on different slots, and when you use a JA it is like throwing a dart, and if you happen to hit the spinning wheel with on the right slot with your "dart" you get the proc, regardless of macc/meva.

Alternatively, like doing /random and if you get within the right range it procs.
(How computers actually make these things work lol)

As far as I can see, for the Dancer who has everything these are the only two update items worth a ***:

The new craftable HQ knife is competitive with a STR/Atk dagger or Aluh Jambiya and maybe better as a main-hand. It's going to be pretty rare though, I suspect.

If you can get it, the activation rate is high, and it's actually Copy Image instead of Blink.

Which idk looks decent for Exenterator to me...but with no attack probably a sidegrade.
Anyway...on another note a question: I'm just now getting my thaumas gear (late I know but better late than never) and still kinda deciding on what to use where. So here's what I'm thinking:
Pants for TP when saber is down.
Body for when delay capped but for nothing else?
Head, hands, legs, feet for EXE?
Hands, legs, feet for all other WS?
Any other combinations I'm leaving out for other things?

I'm in the same boat as you. I use hands for TP, theres no such thing as miodio/nompka(sp) over here and pretty much doing the same thing for everything else as you.
