Personally, I say "*** it" and I go DNC to Difficult AA.
Are you going /nin or /war?

Curious because /nin allows for more use of Saber Dance, but having to recast shadows really hurts dps. Wondering if you can go /war for the permanent-but-less DA and ride Fan Dance to parse better.

I don't see a compelling reason to /war over /nin to 'parse better' unless you are risking timing out, or you want to not bring a paladin and just dnc main tank it.
In -35%pdt + shadow mantle set AA ws's hit me for 600-700, normal hits without fandance were 350+ when stuff makes it thru shadows as /nin.

Dnc with full buffs, haste samba and saberdance will cap hate pretty quick and steal it off a paladin constantly in TP phase.
People opt for /nin because you can safely pingpong hate with the tank and not be a manasponge and minimize healer enmity buildup as well.

you sub ninja because on difficult+ things like rampage and chant can take out a monk in pdt. I mean yeah you can ride fan dance but then you probably should have just gone mnk.

When working DPS sheets what lv should I set when checking sets for farming salvage II, both fodder/bosses? I only have whm/blm/rdm/bst right now but working hard on dnc after long consideration to what I enjoy playing on Arziet I think dnc would most fit what I would like to do with him. If I start doing delve/AA/End game (when it start up again)I will mainly being Rdm/Whm/Blm. So my main focus on Dnc will be soloing Reives/dyna/SalvageII.

How to Dance with 2 left feet! (Non R/E/M)

Based on what I could put together, this looks like the best DPS I could find, while soloing, and using the 102 Chapuli as my target.
Hume, no food, no outside buffs, Haste Samba, War Sub.

ItemSet 297260

*Using the Trust NPC Joachim and his Victory March, does NOT put you at the delay floor, so you don't need to remove any Dual Wield gear. BUT, if you add in the Haste spell, via a mule, or friend, then you do have to start removing Dual Wield gear... and based on some quick dps trial and error it looks like:
Dud/Heart to Brutal/Suppa is the best fix.
Charis to Asperity Necklace is the second best option.
Earrings to BladeBorn/SteelFlash failed.
Charis +2 to Thaumas Body failed.
Patentia to Cetl Belt failed.

Alternatives...
If you don't have Felistris Mask:
Ejekmal > Iuitl > Whirlpool > Uk'uxkaj > Maxixi +1 > Chocolate > Maxixi

If you don't have Quiahuiz Leggings:
Kaabnax > Manibozho > Maxixi +1 > Iuitl > Xux > Maxixi

There's no Terpsichore in his set. Not copied!

(Also, it's entirely possible that multiple people could arrive at the same "best set," considering the limited gear selection available.)

Anyway, if you guys use GearSwap then you can cancel Saber Dance and Waltz without any delay.

I keep hearing about the new program, but haven't seen any physical files for it. Have any to share for Dnc?

Sorry for the noob question but I don't find the eminent dagger in the last DPS spreadsheet I've downloaded.

And in all honesty I have no idea how to add a weapon with a latent effect like this one >.<

Anyway, Eminent > Atoyac in offhand? It's all I want to know for now. For farming purpose (usually in Marjami on twits for merits) and yeah WSing at 100tp.

Anyone using Dnc/nin vs the new AA fights? Care to share experience and setup? I see a few nin back in action and was thinking if nin can do it then maybe dnc as well..

Yeah, I was going DNC for a while. Then I upgraded my harp. We actually had a HM fight where our WHM got the wrong KI and I finally didn't regret lugging my waltz gear around.

Which difficulty are you aiming to do? I do nearly all my AA fights on dnc.

For normal mode AA dnc/nin is very easy and my group spam farmed with 5 person setup dnc mnk brd whm smn or dnc pld brd whm smn.

For hardmodes dancer still works, take care to not be greedy about self skillchaining when hate is capped and the mob turns to you regularly.
Opening a skillchain will always get you hate, then you can lose shadows by the time you reverse flourish and get caught in your skillchain closing ws+gear if you aren't careful.
Difficult AA-MR will be the main one you can struggle a bit with on accuracy, the others are fairly easy to hit.

Until you get a feel for AA fight on dancer, pop into your iutil/pdt set and recast utsu when you have the mob on you and you have 1-2 shadows left depending on your comfort level. From there you can work your way towards more aggressive play like trying to fulltime saberdance and intentionally steal hate more and split blink tank with the other tank/dd.

Cool thanks shooting for normal since I haven't done a single fight lol. Looking to maybe use 2 dnc/nin for tanking and a rng or thf for TH and brd and sch support setup. The setup is a bit weird but its me and 4 mules lol. Looking to go slow and steady for easy wins as possible san pld or could use a ghetto pld w' eminent shield or mnk/nin..

Using the 102 Chapuli in the spreadsheet, and the gear set listed above. Eminent Beats Atoyac by 12DPS. Also worth noting, is that a R15 Aphotic will also beat the Atoyac, until you start eating meat, in which case, Atoyac beats R15 Aphotic, but still loses to Eminent by 11DPS.

As for the AA Fights, I saw someone mention Dnc/Run to solo them. As a returning player, could someone shed some like on the new craze that is /Run, it's usefulness and viability?

has anyone tested out the usefulness of the skillchain bonus on the 119 Dnc legs? Does that make it a top tier ws piece if you are closing a skillchain?

I have Quiahuiz, kaabnax, Iuitl, Nahtirah and r15 Manibozho pants already, i'm seriously questioning whether or not its worth dropping a 7m+ piece of lumber on these (and carry yet another pair of pants!)

also on another note, wtf happened to the dnc armor visual dat for the 119 AF feet, I just made these (my 109 version looked fine) and now its showing leather boots graphics :(

Happen to be plastic surgeon(ing?) as a male after equipping them? That'll happen if you wear gender-specific equipment on the opposite gender. Or it might just be a mess-up on SE's part.

I was sure the chances were low that that was the case, but just checking! No clue, then.

Okay so dnc was pretty damn viable in AA fight on MR normal took many rampages to the face tri boxing but GD cloudsplitter owned my *** when I couldn't get shadows back up. Any chance /run could be used over /nin? Reached 10% before non stop cloudsplitter spam seemed to kill everyone lol....

/nin is still your safest bet for AA's with utusu as an extra line of defense and the shadows save you taking damage from the radial aoe moves a couple of them have like MR and GK.
Doing something like GK without /nin will probably kill you because he can self light with fudo under 25%.

If you don't have a bard, a summoner w/ earthen armor is a good alternative.

Putting up Tellus, Vallation and BarThundra as /RUN allows you to laugh at Cloudsplitter. If you are solo you will want Fan Dance up full time which then allows you to take advantage of additional damage from Runes (since no samba). Additionally /RUN adds an additional +10% parry (moves you from 20->30%) and swordplay (which allows you to swap out eva gear for better DD gear for about a minute each time it is up).
