Hey guys! We will be looking into adjusting the caps to waltz cure potency along with our adjustments to cure potency in general.

In regards to your feedback about separating shared cooldowns for DNC, the dev. team has no plans on separating them.

I swear, the new dev's team must be FFXI hater, Since they take charge, thing going backward... Nerfing Waltz, nerfing new WS that arent in game yet...

Sweet, maybe they'll undo the stupid arbitrary cap they put on our waltzes and act like it's a big gift to us when it never should have existed in the first place.

Not sure what to feel about this just yet. On one hand I'm glad that they are raising waltz cap (assuming thats what they mean by "adjust") because 30% doesn't do much. Of course this means that they will have to introduce more waltz% gear into the game which I'm all for. (Currently we have what? 38% max?)

On the other hand...to get to that max you have to sacrifice your offhand dagger for phurba, and sacrifice the only -waltz recast slot that we can get for the 5% on the head...and most DNCs would agree that sacrificing either one isn't optimal.

Instead...and I've been saying this for a long time...I really wish they would redo the CHR formula for waltzes. We have access to a ton of CHR gear and it should do a lot more than it currently does.

I'm with you Sylow. He didn't say they were changing the cooldown timers. He did say this "regards to your feedback about separating shared cooldowns for DNC, the dev. team has no plans on separating them." They are only adjusting the potency cap. Probably lowering it so it can't compete too much with WHM. Since they have been making it really clear as to what job can heal the best as of late.

to be honest

1.) get potency gear
2.) forget about chr gear unless you have it in your inventory anyway for something else

Yes agreed, it isn't too hard to hit the cap at this time. Also I thought CHR only affected you, while VIT affected other targets? Or something like that, I could be wrong don't hate me.

It works off the sum of your CHR and your target's VIT (your target is sometimes you), but the contribution of CHR and VIT is incredibly minimal.

Huh, good idea. I've never used CW while brewing or on anyone using a brew. Has anyone tried it?

But that kind of goes to show you how pathetic the CHR+VIT portion of waltzes is.

Multiplying BOTH of the stats involved by 10 barely triples the amount cured. :/
