[Dev] Adjustments to New Weapon Skills

| Howdy all!
I wanted to share some information on adjustments that will be made to some of the new weapon skills.
Great Sword Weapon Skill “Resolution”
We’re currently making adjustments so this weapon skill deals more damage to higher level enemies. We will be slightly weakening the effects of the TP damage modifier, but making it so the modifier won’t only be for the first hit as we’ll be changing it so that it’s for all 5 hits.
Scythe Weapon Skill “Entropy”
We will be making adjustments so that the amount of MP recovered will be within a range.
There will be cases where the MP recovered will be higher or possibly lower than now, but we are planning to adjust this so that the average will not change by much.
Katana Weapon Skill “Blade: Shun”
We will be making adjustments to this weapon skill in the same way as those listed for “Resolution.”
Also, as a side note, we don’t have any plans of adding these new weapon skills to the arsenal of enemy weakness exploits, so don’t not worry about picking which ones you would like to upgrade based on that. |

| After testing, we concluded that there is a need to lower the damage dealt by the club weapon skill Realmrazer. We'll be making adjustments so that Realmrazer is the strongest club weapon skill for jobs that cannot learn Hexa Strike.
We also concluded that there is no need to increase the damage dealt by the H2H weapon skill Shijin Spiral and the sword weapon skill Requiescat. (The adjustments for the katana and great sword weapon skills were made to fix the difficulty of dealing damage against stronger opponents.)
Shijin Spiral has an attack boost effect, so it can effectively deal damage to stronger opponents. Thus, we decided that there was no need for adjustment. Also, please keep in mind that its modifiers are DEX and not STR.
Since Requiescat has no element, it’s an effective weapon skill against monsters that are immune to physical attacks. Considering that it has an attack boost and double attack effects, we decided that an adjustment was unnecessary.
We’ll make the above adjustments in the next version update and will look into implementing further adjustments following the version update as necessary. |

Probably making the ftp the same as Stardiver and Entropy on Resolution and Shun, but removing the massive attack penalty.
If so, I'm really happy with that. Sacrifice your neck/waist slot for normalish ftp on all hits to remove a 33-40% attack penalty on those ws.

So is there some kind of confirmation that more than just these 3 were borked in some form or fashion and they have intentions of fixing others or is this it on adjustments?

This is the first post regarding adjusting current weapon skills. As far as I know there are no other plans to adjusting others (unless they just picked the top three to put in their post, but I'm not sure).
Also could be nerfing others and just not telling us.

In voidwatch a -ja or a stupid powerful WS will always kill me by at most 60~ hp.
Level 99 and merits should greatly increase survivability.
inb4 use drinks
I highly doubt anyone has flawless Alleo/pil runs.
Got close once though..

Other than looks, I haven't been too impressed with any of them considering you have to fully merit them for them to even be a viable choice and even then... I kind of expected a ws that you are limited to 3 choices and costs you a crap ton of merits to get would have been better than the options we currently have for at least the majority of weapons. /shrug.

I like the choice of using merits, it gave us the opportunity to invest more merits to make it stronger where as if they just made 18 weapons it wouldn't have been as strong I think.

Requiescat's attack penalty appears to be only about half of that of what Resolution's was, so maybe they're just going to halve it instead of removing it entirely, lol.

And no, your NIN is still primarily there for procs. Shun won't fix that even if they completely un-nerf it, which is possible but unlikely.

Requiescat is clearly designed to be situationally useful for mobs like Elementals. Its non-elemental damage property doesn't do anything for it on things like Kaggen, in fact it's at a significant disadvantage with that attack penalty strapped to it. Using double attack as leverage is absolutely lulz worthy.
Aside from that, those without Chant du Cygne are still better off with Vorpal Blade tbh.
