Ok so I got suspended 2 weeks ago today and the GM said it would only be for 3 days, yet im still suspended. When I try logging into my account it says still suspended. I tried contacting SE and they didn't help at all. Anyone know where to goto to check how long im suspended??
What is the code you get when you try to log in? if the GM says 3 days and its been 2 weeks then you've probably been perma banned.. check and make sure you have the bill paid up as well..
If by "contacting SE" you mean calling a GM, then try contacting their Support Center instead. Insist on the fact that you want to know why your account is suspended and when it is supposed to end, exactly.
If they can't answer you, you can always try calling again later in the week, but seeing the time your account has been lockedu, I would recommend you to forget about this account altogether, unfortunately.

Well it could be 1 of 2 things. You could be trapped in a white hole and time and space is repeating itself or you've been banned.... Whats the code coming up when you try to log in? Why did you get suspended?
Man, that sucks. I would check in with customer support.
When I put the password in it says "checking Playonline ID" then before it would normally say "checking SE ID" it now says "Your account has been temporarily suspended"

The PlayOnline account in question was temporarily suspended by SQUARE ENIX due to following reason.
- In process of account recovery or game data recovery due to unauthorized access by a third party
is what I got when I googled.

Did the GM say "We'll be reviewing this account as well" When you got suspended, or mention anything about review, if so your account is most likely gone. I've never heard of anyone surviving the review. Best bet is to probably call SE though, they should be able to tell you. Or they'll tell you, "Sorry, we dunno brolol"
Suspended. Wouldnt it say you were banned as soon as you put your PW in when your logging in?

Well... If he bought his account, and it's being recalled, they can lock the account for up to like, a month or two.
GMs don't tell you that you are suspended for 3 days if the account is being recalled.
I gave up on that char. Im trying to make a new account, but it says I need registration code.. if I got XI from Steam there was no code that I saw.. so how do I get a code?

The code will be in your steam purchase...but i know that somewhere on the client there is a spot where you can view your codes.

What did you get suspended for? I always thought it was more than 3 days if it was anything pretty serious?
open steam up and right click on Final Fantasy XI and view game CD key

Normally when you get suspended it's a toss up if you'll be able to come back or not. Basically it's a way for them to review and decide what action needs to be taken against you as well as for you to reflect what it was that got you suspended. So... what did ya do?
i have no idea at all what i did. as far as in game goes, nothing.
coincidentally my credit card was cancelled earlier this month and i did not change the info on it yet. i put crysta on my account and now that is my current payment method since my account got locked (i could change the payment method even while my account was locked), although it says my next payment was due august 20th i believe.

Contact the support to know, though it is pretty weird indeed.
judging by what the GM says, it sounds like i (the original owner for 10+ years) had got hacked and requested from support data recovery. i believe that is the code people get for recovering an account to a previous point in time prior to getting hacked. but i never saw my account get hacked or requested data recovery from SE.
Ahhh than probably someone else got your info than if it's your original account. Could also be someone you shared your account info with or maybe a keylogger program on your computer that got your keystrokes and now they're trying to obtain your account to strip or something like that. I've had many friends that had that happen to them, very sad ; ;
windower yes, the rest no. and yeah i realize that about the cancelled content IDs, that's why i'm confused.
It may just take time than for you to be able to get back on if it's going through recovery. I did it once with my character took a week after 3yrs of being deleted. Were you able to explain to them you didn't request it?
well i couldn't contact SE at all. this happend friday and when i had noticed, they were already closed. alas GM's also can't do anything on this matter.
Ahh, yeah GMs aren't much use in this game as they used to be. At least tomorrow is Monday and they will be open, hope all goes well for ya
