looks like i can't avoid those diffusion merits anymore...although it is kind of nice that blue is getting noticeably more powerful buffs to help the party out via diffusion. SE is trying well to keep blu a staple choice for any occasion

Otherwise, you can have your little parade over there. bye ***~ Bye though *<:-) I like how that douche always comes up with the "I played it at 75 therefore I know what I'm talking about" argument.

Both of you, get the *** out.

Most people don't use BLU because they have no idea what its capable of. BLU can be a great DD in Voidwatch. Most of the higher Tier VWNM's are already capped lights around 40% and you just wanna kill it faster. Would rather add a BLU that can help with procs at start and have very nice dmg over time than a standard DD who is always dying and only has a handful of procs. I also find a lot of the utility spells to be pretty handy, an AOE erase and good AOE heal, decent stun and a lot of other spells can potentially lessen the need for an extra healer in addition to temp items. i can really see both sides, granted i didn't get that far in voidwatch before i took a break i can probrably imagine it's not too different sans the multitude of procs.
blu offers a lot of utility but not needed if you have very powerful dds that kill faster and more efficiently than the time needed for those utility abilities to be fully appreciated. on the other hand if some fights are harder and not mentally streamlined then blu is very helpful and you're lacking support or certain abilities of the mob keep you from killing faster. /shrug suddenly all mage jobs are useless in voidwatch but whm and blm

Utility is definitely where BLU shines but how much of that is really useful and how useful is it? Erasega doesn't catch anything exceptionally dangerous, AoE cure is nice but multiple jobs can handle healing. Other jobs frequently have superior versions of our enfeebles barring uniques like TP down... the benefit to BLU is that it has them all but endgame content has shifted back towards large group play and with Voidwatch's mechanics it's common to at least have those jobs present for VW. I'm hoping for more lowman content in the future without the ridiculous overpowered buffs of Abyssea, since that's the kind of environment where BLU really shines. Don't get me wrong, I do make use of the job's capabilities. I just wish there was more demand for BLU rather than kind of feeling like "well I'm on BLU, I should try and do all these things to help out a little". What demand are you asking for specifically? A lot of jobs are in the same boat for current endgame, which I consider mostly Voidwatch. They are there to proc and deal DMG, as far as DD goes. BLU does both of those fine, and its pretty much always been a strong role for the job outside of stunning.
Most of those frontline jobs would have to full time that PDT or MDT gear if they have hate.. unless you are implying they just swap into it for eating ws/magic, otherwise it gimps their DD output as well. If they don't it criples their survivability against potential one shots. I don't see how its better in the long run to be in the front lines DDing when we can get more out of magical nukes though. Maybe "always" is stretching it a bit, but they don't last forever certainly or nobody would use PLD tanks. @the low man content, I bet BLU will have a very strong role in the Neo-Nyzul if it is anything like old version. |
