I'd like to know what people are getting specifically on DNC.
I recently got Twashtar 85 the other day and didn't really get to mess with it until last night. On average, I hit with CM for 3k.....Idk if that's bad or not...

Just want to make it as best as it can be.

Abyssea: 4.5-6k with spikes up to 10k (RR/SS/GH + TP+100 fusetto+3)
Outside Abyssea - Old Content: 2.5k with spikes up to 3.5k (TP+100 fusetto+3)
Outside Abyssea - Voidwatch: 1.2-1.7k with spikes up to 2k (TP+100 Fusetto+3)

I don't do dnc in aby much but my damage there is similar to Asymptotics. Can actually hit 9-10k fairly easy with stalwarts and flourish on really squishy trash stuff.

Outside abyssea average is about 2.8-3k with food (usually yellow curry) with /thf (only think I really use dnc for anymore is dynamis ;;) with spikes up to 3.5k. Even manage to spike over 3k with sa (again as /thf not thf main!)

Think my highest outside aby at 90 cap was 2.8k so it was pretty cool seeing a lot of 3.5ks in dyna yesterday :p

pretty accurate.
-in abyssea i use RR/SS/AoA for apoc obvious reasons..ss+gh sounds hot but i dont use it ever. you will often hit in the 4.5-6k range most of the time, on virtually anything, with higher spikes on squishier things, assuming certain things*
-outside abyssea also accurate around 2.5-3.5k depending what youre fighting but normally always in that range, assuming certain things*
-havent done much voidwatch but i trust asymp's numbers
*=in/out abyssea using stalwarts + red curry + tp100 fusetto+3 + climactic flourish (no stalwarts outside) pushes for great numbers. also tping to 300 makes for sexy damage on ws and w/ aftermath

Can someone explain to me the spike to 10k? Where is that extra ~4k dmg coming from?

300 tp, tons of attk+ buffs, and a low defense mob that's weak to piercing.

Sure. Let me get some together for you.

Old content *** [Average 2.5k]
Voidwatch [1.2-1.7k]
You can get really nice numbers on trash mobs in lolzones:
and this is just confusing (pic unrelated)
I just don't see how hard it is to believe that a 3-5fTP ws with a forced critical hit, 60% dex mod, Critical Hit Damage +18%, and a +20% damage bonus from Af3+2 head can average 2000 dmg+ on old content.

This^

Bully is on a 3 minute timer and lasts only 30 seconds, and the SA to force crit is on a one minute timer (50 sec or so with max merits) and only works for one WS. It might do better spike damage, but dnc wins dps with Climactic Flourish with not only a little over 1 minute on the recast, but can get 2-3 WS in if done right with 3-5 finishing moves, 5/5 No Foot Rise and Reverse Flourish (don't even need AF3 hands, they just make it faster). Dnc wins with the ability spam it as well as the added Darkness SC dmg. With Thf it's really just a good way to plant hate on someone :< least that's what I use it for.

I was able to pump up my guns and get numbers like this pretty consistently during some VW spammage today:

DNC/WAR + RCB + Berserk + Building Flourish (STR Kila+3 offhand)

Attack. It works wonders.

I understand there may be some skepticism because Taweret is a lowly T1 NM.

Akvan, however, is a T3!

(and just for fun, my highest in VW so far, piercing weak/T1 etc.:)

I would be much better at solo dyna if I had any measure of patience whatsoever. I make a lot of risky pulls and pay the price.

Teamed up with a mage, though, I tear it up.

To be honest, DNC excels at Dynamis Nouveau (and virtually all "old content", it's decent in Abyssea despite not having procs (having a lot of power, just not much utility), and it's actually quite effective in Voidwatch, providing an excellent source of spike damage during synchronic blitzes, and offering a lot of JA procs which can be spammed back to back to get a lot of hints at once. It can also keep itself alive pretty well with nothing more than waltzes / a basic mdt set / fan dance and fanatics drinks when they're available, requiring minimal attention from healers.

I have begun to understand why adjusting it is not on the dev team's priority list.

Dualboxed WHM would work lol. Pretty sure that's what Byrth still uses to farm tons of currency.

WHM is the way to go for dualbox mage, I think. Sub THF on it and TH stuff. If it's a good mule (good gear), you may never have to rest.

I don't even like my WHM mule enough to make it a "good WHM mule." No Cure potency staff. No Refresh beyond Noble's and Serpentes Cuffs. No TH Sash, nothing. I still pull in 250 currency unless JPs are camping all up in my grill.

Also, something you guys might find interesting. I should have more conclusive results for you tomorrow.
