Hey guys!

I'm looking at building sets for Terpsichore, and three things have become evident pretty quickly:
1) If I have Marches, I should be single wielding, which requires a dramatically different gearset from normal.
2) This dagger is excellent for support, because AM3 makes Saber Dance much less important. ~40/40/20 distribution, so 1.8 attacks per round with just AM3. This means it also devalues Double Attack.
3) The dagger is only really going to be worth main-handing in situations where I can ride AM3.

So there are kind of two situations that I'd like to prepare for:
* Marches and supporting role. (Single Wield)
* Duoing with mule and DDing role.

I thought it would be fun for people to make sets and compare them. No holds barred, remember that DA is barely an increase! I already have an Airy Buckler, etc. I'd like 26% Haste if possible, or 25% Haste if it's much more convenient.

what about low delay weapons such as sleight kukri? wouldnt that affect you in a positive way even with marches?

omg am i really talking about hit builds on dnc?

edit: this is obviously a single-wield set.

Nope~! It's because:
* AM3 is Main-hand only
* You can reach 78.3% Haste with Samba + Gear + Haste spell + 2x March

So you'd be using Dual Wield to reduce the last 1.7% delay (.217/.2 = 8.5% increase in DPS), but offhanding a shitty base damage dagger that doesn't get the AM3 effect to do it. In the end, it's better to stick with just using the weapon that has an effective 80% DA.

I don't know. I see Brutal, Regain/Atk Moonshade, Aesir Ear Pendant, and Vulcan's Pearl as the prime contenders.

This was my first attempt!

I think this set would do better damage, but your set may be better for playing a supporting role.

I didn't use moonshade because I know you already have it augmented for TP bonus, but yeah it was a thought :)

I got 30,000 Alex something like a week ago, but it'll be months until I'm done Einherjar. I also have about 3 weeks worth of assaults left, but that should be done by the end of the month.

I started at the end of July (25th is the earliest post of mine that I can find talking about working on it.) I started with a lot of gil and got a lot of help from friends (locating Alex). I was also very fortunate that SE introduced a farming-friendly lowman event right around the same time (Neo-Dynamis).

Thanks! The biggest problem is that I'm going to be moving to Germany and entering the EU deadzone for 6 months. I'll have essentially no chance of doing Einherjar.

lol, I couldn't ask you to do that! I don't leave until mid November, so I'll have to see how Ein is going before then. I have teamed up with someone else on the server doing runs twice a week.

How lowman do you guys run? Curious what it takes to clear T3 now.

I've heard that 6 can clear a T3 pretty reliably these days. We cleared a Tier 1 in 9 minutes the other day with 6 (4 players, 2 mules). Next time we'll be doing a Tier 2, then after that a tier 3, so I'll let you know~!

I don't know exactly, but I'd guess 8.5k per Alexandrite average and 28500 Alexandrite bought (farmed about 1300 and given some), so something on the order of 240mil.

What's your setup? Normal DDing or some form of AoEburn?

We were normally ukon/ukon/brd/smn/whmmule/whmmule back at 90. primarilly using ukko's. Alex zerg boss. I would rep one (or both) of the whm mules with sch, and possibly brd with cor now a days though. 2 schs would be embrava the entire run(almost), which should be 80%(25gear+15haste+10hasso+30embrava) haste. Marchs wouldn't be as needed then so could cor instead of brd and get chaos/war (or save tp) rolls. Could also AoE Kaustra-ga then Bind/gravity-ga to help with dmg(although sleeping the mobs is probably safer).

We only got him once but if I recall correctly we still won. Thats another fight sch would help with. Back at 75 the demons would wake up every time chairboss TP moved, but they wouldn't unbind/ungravity so 1 sch could easilly crowd control the entire fight. I assume they haven't changed it.

This is what I have came up with, tried to avoid too much DA.
If going for a 12 hit build like Asymptotic made, I'd drop the Ocelomeh +1 for Tiara +2 and use Cerberus Mantle +1, maybe?
