"Gimp"
/ma "Cure V" <t> is so much nicer than having like 8? gear changes over 2 macros, then the spell, then 8? gear changes back.
:D Anyways, on the actual topic! Didn't read the *whole* topic, but being gimp means having far, FAR suboptimal gear and doing NOTHING about it. At least, that's what it means to me. Or not having SJs leveled properly. A couple hours in a good GOV party can fix that, and sometimes you do get good things out of even 3 levels. More than just stats, at least. Irritates me when I see 95x/37y. WTF gear choices may also be gimp if they make absolutely no sense whatsoever. "Why are you still using a Lightning Bow on SAM at 95...?" type stuff. Perle/Aurore/someTeal, I don't mind because it is just a stopgap set between 75 and AF3. Thing that irritates me the most though is seeing BLMs wearing Teal hands/feet, though, when they're not wearing ANY other pieces of the set. *shrug* And yes, atm, I'm gimp, don't look at my SAM coz I'm stuck on CoP 8-3 :\ Stupid pots. What bugs me the most is the fact that gear swaps on XBox aren't 100% reliable. Sometimes I might lag out and find myself WSing in an abortion between TP and WS sets.. not nice, not nice, gimp. I know it's possible, but I lag too much to do that well enough. Not to the extent I could if I played on PC at least. I do swap what I can in mid cast, but for the most part I prefer to make sure the macro will be loaded on "ok" stuff, rather than in "wtfOMGwhy" gear while attempting to equip "perfect" gear. I just have these deeply embedded memories of hitting something like 6 macros just to cast a T4 spell and then go back to idle gear, nevermind when day/weather were active or when I wanted to use Uggy Pendant D; DARK TIMES Fenrir.Nightfyre said: » Oh don't get me wrong, I agree completely. It's a huge hassle and can potentially slow you down. When you consider how godawfully slow the natural macros are, nevermind lag, you're quite likely to run into issues with gear not swapping because you hit the next button a fraction too soon. I just have these deeply embedded memories of pressing something like 7 buttons just to cast a T4 spell and then go back to idle gear, nevermind when day/weather were active or when I wanted to use Uggy Pendant D; DARK TIMES You're a freak did you know that~? Seriously though, the DNC stuff lagged so badly, and people died, and it was horrible, I couldn't imagine hitting multiple things. .____.; The wonders lag will do when combined to XBox.. I once found my char half naked when going from TP to WS and back to TP too fast lol

Upgrading from regular macros to windower when I moved from ps2 to pc was great though. Freed up so much space I was unsure what to add to fill up the empty spaces. XD Asura.Kaisuko said: » I type to slow to make that possible, but windower macros worked just fine for me, especially since I didn't play a mage job. XD Actually I only really do it on a mage job since I'm often dealing with multiple targets, and it's just easier me to type a player name than find them in the party list. All about those macros on DD, where timing is crucial for staggering/skillchaining. anyone who uses nin as a main or a sub that doesn't have Utsusemi: Ni is gimp imo
