I am completely lazy towards doing trails to the point that I'm moving like a snail to finish my str and agi kila +2.... well +3 now. You can get a Tefnut Wand or a Templar Mace with an augmented Genbu's Shield and still come out better than a Light Staff. Heck I wouldn't even make fun of you for it, so hop to it. Odin.Sheelay said: » Omg so mean D: DDs can still be good even without Emps/Relics/Mythic. Mine is! Or at least that's what mommy says when she kisses me good night ;_; My standards are high, possibly unreasonably so. You can still have a good DD/be a good DD without an Emp/Relic/Mythic, but it's not something I encourage in 2011. If you're serious about your job/XI, you should have one or be working towards one(which apparently you are). I agree with you Sora, thanks for bringing this increasingly common problem to everyone's attention.

Wasn't needed at all lol, and eventually dropped it. It was still fun to write my spellcast to do it right. Was a few hundred lines of code just for that part, on every spell >.>;; Gaiz.. gaiz, srzly.

Yep, being on PS2 or XBox definitely gimps the game a lot.
Can't make sets that swap gear at the beginning-mid-ending of a cast but oh well. What bugs me the most is the fact that gear swaps on XBox aren't 100% reliable. Sometimes I might lag out and find myself WSing in an abortion between TP and WS sets.. not nice, not nice, gimp. 1 Macro to cover head/neck/ear1/ear2/body/hands 1 macro to cover /ring1/ring2/back/waist/legs/feet Odin.Sheelay said: » Yep, being on PS2 or XBox definitely gimps the game a lot. If you have access to playing the game on a computer, I would switch immediately honestly. Having a mac isn't a viable excuse, Nightfyre manages just fine. Well, sorta fine. ;3
I'm not going to berate people for playing on inferior systems using crazy 3 button press macros to do everything, but I will say it's much more efficient/practical to play on PC and use windower macros/spellcast XMLs. Back when I had surgery, I was bedridden for a few weeks, so I played XI on my Xbox. It was the most miserable experience of my life, and after I tried doing a meripo on DNC, I refused to go to any more merit parties or events because it wasn't possible to solo-heal every *** one without deaths. :x |
