Yeah when i first asked vid i didn't know he had been stockpiling fish, so took two attempts of spamming teh galka for these.
Just dinged 80 today, and picked up the Serpent Rumors. Would my level be too low to start fishing Liks/Gugs?

I'm so sad.... I just had my mule fish up 37 Dark Bass for the GP item today and apparently because i broke into the expert 110 cap region they actually asked me for 4 Veydal Wrasse instead....

On a good note I get 5,040GP today instead of like 2.8 at least... I had no idea that expert rank had different fish pattern though. I had assumed it went off Veteran.

Maybe it's cause your 101? I think I was 101-102 past 2 days and I had no issues what so ever but last night I hit 104.... I wonder if that had anything to do with it?

I have two characters at the moment, I just turned in the fish to make my second character an expert and my main character has been expert for a few months now. Even when my second character was veteran and my main was expert, the GP items were the same. Perhaps your friends logged in after JP midnight so you were turning in the fish for the day prior and they were turning in the fish for the current day since you said they logged in later? Although I don't have screenshots, I can tell you that my expert fisher was in glacier fishing haks and I would take my second character (who was veteran at the time) to get GP items for both of my characters and it was always the same fish.
I just had someone with 89 check and it was Veydal Wrasse for him as well. Also it was assumed that he had no issues because he mentioned the GP item and then said gotta log for a bit ttyl tonight and never said "***wrong GP item" since he does it during the morning like me.
I assume now that perhaps he logged out before turning them in becuase i know 100% that he got the dark bass before going. I'm fairly positive he would have come on chat and cussed out FFXIAH for being wrong lol.
Either way it looks like Veydal Wrasse and i'll use the reporting feature.

ah.com is wrong for gp items a lot, I never go by what it says unless someone else has verified it using the the reporting feature.

Took me all of 10 seconds to find a half dozen threads referencing the issue of Expert vs Veteran GP items.
Veydal Wrasse was my GP item for today and im a Veteran rank. The Dark Bass on the Guild Pattern is wrong.

Is totally passing off false information as fact... when you proceeded to then come in and throw a piss fest over nothing when you could have just said from the start "It's a mistake on FFXIAH and it happens once in awhile" like the NORMAL users of this thread did.
Requesting topic ban now at this point since you wanna drag this out and argue when me and several others in this thread have held normal conversations on fishing and asking questions previously without you menstruating all over the thread.

I haven't seen Dark Bass be a GP item in a long time, it's usually either Veydal Wrasse or Shining Trout instead. Same thing with when Sandfish is GP it usually ends up being Black Eels.
