I gave up pretty quickly and went to Armored Pisces. Maybe I just had terrible luck? im doing AP there nice got a good bite rate and getting decent skill ups off em can also cap to 108 on AP

I'm sure this has probably been asked before, and I apologize for it if I'm beating a dead horse, but does anyone know if the catches in Aquatic Depopulation Team count towards your daily fishing cap?

Someone who is not me is going to have to test that for you. You catch a fish, it counts towards the 200 fish cap 210-215 if you have Ebisu. Regardless if ya catch a fish it counts towards it. :3
I hope i was able to assist you. im not entirely certain, but i think MMM is not affected by fatigue, fish are tmp items as well, so may because of this

Mooching can't say never got it. Are you using a monkey to fish?
If you plan to do Matsaya mooching for sure... If you plan to skip Matsaya for awhile and do everything and anything else fishing related you can skip it probably and use a Monkey or Albatross ring.
If Matsaya didn't require Puffin+Noddy to help you not waste your rare/ex bait then I would say use an Albatross on that too and screw mooching, but you would be shooting yourself in the foot with your bait. I did have the thought of Matsaya at some point but seeing the only other craft i can see myself messing with is my 98 cooking
Or atleast for now anyway.... Unless that cape effect fishing and synergy in some way But so I can get an understanding since ffxi wiki gives a vague description.... Edit: I notice ever so often I get this message now as I'm fishing: Fish said: This strength... You get the sense that you are on the verge of an epic catch! The only thing I can think of is that it's SE's way of saying "You got a legendary fish" or whatever all the big 100+ fish count as. I got it a lot on Hakuryu when I used to fish and never really had anything odd/different happen with them - It could just be a higher level fish. ;/ all well guss ll just fish on me for a week then i get 2 more ebisus lol wife and mule getting theres ^^
also another question is 4 matsya off 35 dwarft pugils bad or luck? no mooching KI thats actually decent for 35 pugils i have all ki just missing the gear and i avg about 9/28 catches and then you add the fact that cobalt jellyfish are ***

as for gear im just useing torque and all 4 angler I am currently 0/311 on matsya not gonna lie i wanna tear my hair out lol. Also i wanted to rant a bit so i called a gm and he told me that shapers is a 1.6% gut rate

i am taking a break from matsya 4m a day fishing liks is too good to pass up atm all spent on pulse cells because pil is a ***

I recently went into MMM after I hit my daily cap. I was still able to catch fish regularly, easily managing a win. To me, this suggests that they don't count towards cap. However, I've never done MMM, then went out to fish until cap, so I can't say for certain. |
