So, I caught some Abaia for a linkshell member so he could make some hippo jugs. Biterate is pretty terribad on them, and the snaps happen more often than not. Line snap rate for hakuryu is pretty close to 33%, and I'd say the line snaps for Abaia are closer to 66%

They've pretty much flooded the AH on cerb already at this point. They were 100k each last night. I caught 11 total in about 90 minutes, gave 6 to a linkshell friend and put the other 5 at the AH at 100k each. 3 of them sold overnight, and checking this morning there's now 18 up at the AH and price is down to 80k. Don't expect the price to stay high for long.
Also, with regard to using a lure to single them out: using a minnow or sinking minnow hooked only Abaia and Dark Bass for me. Great Blue indicates that Giant Catfish can also be caught using that setup, however I never had one bite my line at all last night.

If you're indicating that people will rush to finish a Lu Shang to catch Abaia, they had all better level their woodworking as well. With the rate that Abaia line snaps an ebisu, I would imagine rod breaks would be very common if trying to use a Lu to fish them.

Cooks may start buying up Moat Carp to synth into Abaia food (Slice of Carp).
I was lucky enough that Siren didn't really do anything about the fish. I started at 100k and probably could of even put it higher than that.
Made around 5 mil last night, now that people know its almost impossible to sell them because the jugs are flooding the market and no one needs the fish :(

Finally something decent to go along with Fishing and Cooking and ppl just wanna exploit it, Hopefully once things tend to die down, we will have a base set price. But with 4 of the new fish I was able to fish last night I was able to make 2 stacks of the new pet jug. Makes you wonder what the price of it will be in a few weeks.

Another note I agree with Kali, Minnows work real well, majority of the time Dark Bass will snag the line I was able to fish 4 up before breaking Lu shangs, Id recommend using an Ebisu Fishing Rod and minnow... Almost done with Ebisu just need that Saber Shoot :3

1. Im talking about the people who have no diversity on there AH, They just flood it with 1 item and undercut.
2. Im not referring to Kali shes boss at what she does, as does any person who has ebisu. She can do w/e she wants with her fishys.
3. I <3 Kali...she helps me fish gugs while I fish gugs makes the process go by a lot faster.

I didn't have woodworking though, so I never tried to fish large fish until I started the Ebisu quest.
Then I broke it 60+ times ><!

Lol. When people do it like I do it then that's okay but when they undercut me it's not!
Leveling woodworking to 70+ is actually a pretty painless task. Didn't take me very long to do it, and only like 300k total out of my pocket to finish. Most of the stuff I made broke pretty close to even when I'd sell it at the AH.
Only reason I didn't is because I had 95 clothcraft at the time. :x
