well the thing is, my main (Greever) already has a decently geared bst, i just dont use it for anything. my other character (rekun) only has whm blm and rdm @90 lol, with no other jobs unlocked >.>.
So i would have to go through the hassle of unlocking both bst and dnc, and lvl'ing one to 95 and cap skills then lvl the other to 49. on top of gearing bst.
Btw, do u have any links to the new dynamis system and maps of camps and such?

ok so after a short rage fit yesterday, i started wondering. Is there any other fish like hakuryu gil wise? Dosent have to be the same 10k per fish, but something close to that which are easier to pull in?
After losing 9 sinking minnows in a row and only ending up with 10 hakus after 30 lures and about 4 hours of fishing, i kinda want to see if theres anything else that i can do.

as far as i know it all depends on ur server nothing that you can npc tbh. i think most you can get from a npc fish is 1k for gugru and lik, and if your npc'ing those then your doing it wrong lol. i go out with 60 lures and get like 50-70 hakuryu in a 10hr frame maybe less lol i lose track of time when i go into zombie mode.... id suggest fishing black soles or squids and have all your mules AH them or nebimmonites and take you WW and make shihei thats all i can suggest. and as far as Dynamis info i found most info from BG forums. its not hard just any job ability that is done on a mob and not yourself is a proc and the times and mobs under those time(like blue proc in abyssea) are on dynamis info page. but yea back to fishing, catch nebs turn to shihei, catch other money AH fish and wait it out to sell.
Edit: also if im not mistaken these new dragon fishes are all same difficulty to reel in for the same npc price. i believe SE added those fishes for people who achieved getting an Ebisu Rod and were complaining that a Lu Shang fisher can catch the same things that they(we) can catch and put alot more work into getting the rod.

damn i dont want to depend on the ah. Ive tried black sole and those sell like crap here. and i also tried the nebomites to shihei idea...it took me weeks to move everything lol.
I have been doing dynamis for the past 2 days using bg info and advice from friends. first day i pulled in 73 currency. I spent the first 40ish min running back and forth getting TE's and crap lol. but yesterday i pulled in 120. My bst is only 91 atm and i figure if i get to 95, ill probably be able to pull in 150 a day.
its just these damn haku's have been finkly this past week...maybe its the season, idk. Or maybe i was just spoiled the first week i went out and had killer luck lol

Matsya is even worse the Haks as far as catching them and it takes alot more effort with gutting other fishes to get the live bait to attempt to catch one of those, and that is why i said as far as ease in catching 900-1k per fish is all you will see. and Greever as far as bst 91 goes i would agree 95 things become easier also i suggest being a bit ballsy with your mobs. I pull in 150+ because i have dipper hold like 4-5 mobs that are proc'ed and im still out looking for more to proc. i just suggest you dont go in when its crowded unless its ppl that leave you alone but you will see the occasional person that will take a proc'ed mob because they're too lazy to pull in that many themselves. As far as nebs and shihei lol yea i went to D.R on vacation had 3 mules with toolbags on sale when i came back price dropped and i got all of them sen back took for ever to get them out my inventory but its your few options.
Catching Nebs in SSG at level 19, and I end up pulling in a Bastore Bream, level 80-something? I think I pooped myself a bit.

A long time ago I got the key item sea serpent rumors and tried a little to get an Ebisu but after failure I just stop and now after reading all this stories. I went started again and surprise I got both items for me fishing rod today and can't wait til' sunday. Thnx to whoever started this Topic and all the people and there successful stories ^^

I'm glad I made it, a lot of people really started opening up and talking about fishing. I did think that there was a huge possibility that people wouldn't and it would just fall into the depths of where threads go to die, but I'm glad it didn't. It's nice to have a place and talk about one of my favorite things to do in this game and I'm glad there are others that can relate.

Oh, friend brought up something earlier, can you use keys to pick the chests? If that's the case I'll bring her some keys, I've probably failed like 20 chests that had my torque in it!

I recently came back to the game and felt it was time to do fishing again I'm 100 Smock/stall (working on Map/Sign/Ebisu). I've been having problems fishing Crocodilos, I maybe get 1-2 an hour. Is this normal?
so ive been farming a Fisher's Torque for the past week i think imma loose my mind @.@

I've kinda given up on the rope.. if i get it i get it... as for crocs they remind me of gugs so I would fish them as such. You may get a little more time, but they fight... well... like a crocodile would.
