+4 as far as I'm aware.
And gives Mega-Moglification Fishing KI provided you can sort your MH to not overpower it.

I have both cooking and fishing stalls.
And it's no problem to keep a panitiere in there + both stalls and a couple of other bits and get either the cooking or fishing Moglifications by simply removing the fishing stall if I want the cookng Moglification for some reason.

If you fish where no mobs go and agro, you won't catch anything in Beau. Like that in most fishing zones.

Hello all is their any currency guides that are decent for lvling up fishing from the start? I decided to lvl it after getting lvl 30 for Shawl and got it 1/9 felt lucky and went... 1/4 LIk 1/13 gugs

If you're going to use Lu Shang's Rod:

If you're not going to use Lu's you can still do a similar path, but it won't be as profitable. It might actually be faster if you use the "Too Small" trick though:

Remember that you should be building GP while you fish. I spent my leveling times building Alchemy GP to buy the last few KIs instead and now I'm sitting at 78 waiting for GP (@20k) so I can get my Inventory -2.

Yes, catches that are "too small" to pull in do not count towards your 200/day total and can still give skillups.

Just hit 88 Fishing! Was wondering what would be the best fish to skill-up on? currently trying Pterygotus, I know Black Sole's are an option but hear they are slow and dumb to skill-up on. Still have Lushang's as well, 15K GP away from Ebisu KI.

Personally did Pterygotus until 99, get a bunch of Lugworms, and can NPC them to the NPC right where you fish for ~700-950 gil depending on fame.

Is + fishing skill gear suppose show up in craft skills or does it just not show? Also how is it that I get lost catch because low skill when i'm only 4 levels below and with gear i'm actually above?

Btw how much higher level a fish from your skill is best for skill ups without breaking pole/line?

No +skill gear doesn't show in your skill list.
And no idea why you lost due to skill, crocodilos used to do that alot, not sure if they patched that.
I did get a lost catch due to skill on a Ryugu the other day at 105+11, first time I've ever seen it though

Is there any good sources of toah fishing information? Seems the wikis have very limited information and some fish are missing completely from their locations.

Can anyone say they've actually got skill ups above 108 on Cherax? I know what wiki says, and I know what people say they cap at but I'm going 400 pugils saved up since I hit 108 and I have not see a single skill up since hitting 108. That's roughly 1600 cherax at a 1:4 turn in rate and not a single skill up. This influx of Hakbots over the past year or so has made many wiki fishing sources terribly unreliable lately.

I saw 3 mules bot to 110, and go 100-110 solely on Haks in under a month. I've spent 2 weeks on Cherax and not a single .1 now ...

I think I'm just going to finish off these pugs over the next few days and hope I get a few there.

Woot! Hopefully they make a new fish. AND you can make HQ versions of bait...making 20~30 stacks of bait 12 at a time SUCKS.
