Axe Chocolate does NOT smell like chocolate. :(
before that it was this:
![]() but i ran out, its expensive, and the men's speed stick was clearanced to like sixty something cents LOL speaking of scented stuff...was unloading the shipment at work today, got stuck helping unload cosmetics department...and something truly viiiiiiiiile spilled on me:
![]() washing with scalding water and soap didn't help, neither did hand sanitizer...it was bout to make me hurl. didn't go away till i got home and took a bath >< Goes on clear, hasn't messed up my clothes, it smells good and actually works as an antiperspirant. It's a soft smell, a lot of the flowery scents bother me. So I'm really picky about my deodorant as well. :3 Everything people have said to use so far has aluminum >_< that ***causes skin problems.
Fenrir.Niniann said: » Do people actually use Oldspice? Heck yeah! I love Old Spice, but not any of the fancy new "I'm on a horse" body wash crap. Original, in the glass bottle with a ship Old Spice is awesome. (Gotta let the alcohol evaporate before you get the actual, correct smell.) Fenrir.Niniann said: » Anyway, am I the only weird smell-obsessed person here? Do any of you use Oldspice? D: And no. Smells to me are weirdly important, too. Mostly they're interesting or good to me, rather than bad, but the bad smells are AWFUL. I know that smells are very important to memory, but I think for me, smells a lot of time are memories. I can remember all kinds of smells MUCH more distinctly than the events that went with them. It's weird - but kinda fun. Or, not fun. I work next to a guy that has a pretty obvious (to me) dietary problem. Smells like a volcano of sh*t (literally) about half the time. I talked to him about it, once, but because he's also ~320lbs, my company is afraid to actually "do" anything about it in fear of appearing basing it on that. So I think kinda that I can relate! Deodorant-wise, I use a scentless antiperspirant mostly, but usually paired with some kind of "smell good" thing. I really like my aftershave - but I can't for the life of me remember what it is. Nivea something or other lotion thingy. All of the sudden, I feel kinda... fruity after saying all that. But I typed so much already... Phew. Oh, also another weird smelly thing is women's Secret deodorant - it smells amazing. (Not on me, obviously.) I don't have any problems. :o

For people like me that sweat like crazy, this is the only thing I can use:
![]() Unfortunately, I have to rotate brands every stick or so, since I have a weird ability develop a deodorant tolerance. Edit: The Secret works okay too, but I prefer the men's smell to be honest. Dove makes your pits soft, but even the clinical strength doesn't work on me ._. i'm lazy...anyone got the tl;dr summary of what the aluminum in deodorants does to skin?
i'mma go nuke some food in the meantime lol Fenrir.Terminus said: » Heck yeah! I love Old Spice, but not any of the fancy new "I'm on a horse" body wash crap. Yeah, it's usually weird smells, good smells and omgbarf smells. And unfortunately the only people I've been around that were omgbarf were overweight. :/ It might actually be a dietary thing, never really considered that. Maybe if you eat a ton of junk food your sweat smells awful? I dunno. I don't eat that great myself and I don't smell badly enough that you can smell it through my deodorant. *shrug* Unless I have curry. Then I smell strongly of waffles and it's really really strange. Oh, I don't really know what aftershave is I guess, not a dude. o___o;; As for Secret deodorant, yeah it smells nice. I think it made me break out or the antiperspirant wasn't strong enough or something. ;; ![]() Fun fact: Gillette and Old Spice are owned by the same company and manufactured at the same place and from my experience they're the exact same thing just Gillette is $.50 to $1.50 cheaper. I'm still drenched in sweat with axe in those situations. @@;; Ramuh.Urial said: » Fun fact: Gillette and Old Spice are owned by the same company and manufactured at the same place and from my experience they're the exact same thing just Gillette is $.50 to $1.50 cheaper. Gillette doesn't have a shirtless Isaiah Mustafa telling me that I'm beautiful or giving me diamonds. Dove...b/c it's awesome....I refuse anything but~
I just use axe.
For a cologne I use Valefor.Annikahansen said: » i'm lazy...anyone got the tl;dr summary of what the aluminum in deodorants does to skin? i'mma go nuke some food in the meantime lol Supposedly has a correlation between use and breast cancer. Studies have it explained as it does and doesn't. Aside from that, slight skin irritant with repeated use. Slightly OT, but you might like the perfume Pink Sugar (assuming you have not heard of it). ![]() It smells like frosting, but if you use it lightly (lightly being the key word here), it smells really nice and yummy. I use it occasionally and my boyfriend seems to be a fan. |
