I think this got debunked a few years ago at one of their fan fests, players got to ask the dev team questions and that was one of them if I remember correctly. Also debunked was the millionaires desk that supposedly enhanced treasure hunter so as you can see in our online as well as real lives...there is no such thing as superstition. I dropped all mine long ago since inventory was more of an issue a couple years ago.
Yeah, it was debunked. The debunk included 4-leaf Mandy Bud, Rabbit's Tail, and Millionaire Desk.

My character has hidden Treasure hider affect. Its like TH when its for stuff i cant use but works in the opposite otherwise. It also affects my HQs and lots... still im betting there is some weird hidden luck factor that is largely based made up when you made your character. Explains why some peeps get rediculously good luck on one thing but bad on another... me i can skill up like no other... not that it matters if i cant HQ

If u get more drops with /drk, then go for it. Do some test runs and compare results.
i find i get better drops on light and darksday but just farm they way you wanna farm. who cares what anyone else things. if it woeks for you then keep to that
I don't know if they were serious about killing 1k mobs with /DRK, /THF, and /Other, but I'm serious about it. I'd be interested in seeing your results.
And as far as myths being debunked, I don't necessarily believe them all. I get rare/ex drops in about 1/4 of the time it takes others in my linkshell without TH3. From what I've heard, TH isn't supposed to affect rare/ex drop rates, but I've definitely found that it does. And I've done this consistently over the past year.

TH helps with Everything But the things ppl really want like okotes...
These theories all depend on when your character was created and how gullible you are to believe that your character creation time has anything to do with your drop rate. Happy hunting!

I just kidnap a taru on my way out of town, and threaten to acquaint them with a galka until I see a better drop rate.. I don't know if it's the extorted slavery, or a hidden TH effect, but it has worked marvelously..

Well, on Lakshmi, we've organized the kidnapping effort. We figured the ToAU beastmen were great at kidnapping the people we didn't want to go away (the choco lady whose name we all forget when she's away but <3 anyway), and we had them try their hand at nabbing the ones we wouldn't mind losing.
There does seem to be an anomaly that we just can't explain, though..
About 1 in every 5 tarus that gets nabbed doesn't make it back. We're working on it. Someday.
Well, admittedly, we only barely care. A new taru is made every couple of minutes, and that seems like a greater travesty.
And I hope you mean beyond the obvious TH effect..
