i only hit gr14 in first game with 750 hrs, cuz i spent 90% my time chillin with friends in different qsts, they were the big fish 15's so i was like yay the elite popular crowd ill do w/e they want long as i get to do stuff lol. but i havent hit online yet in wkc2 im still playin story

I just got this yesterday, playing through the first game now and I am loving it so far. Having some network issues or something with my PS3 cuz I can't connect to the Geonet thing, will figure it out in due time.
Okay so I just beat the WKC 1 story and it dumped me right into WKC2 which is fine by me except that I was reading about a lot of stuff that you get in WKC after starting a newgame+, things like GR7+ armor in chests that wont appear in certain areas during your first playthrough.
Anyone know if there is a way to revisit these areas in WKC2 in order to find these chests and armors. Also from what I understand certain drops will only appear after you are in a newgame+ and are doing areas based on a GR of 7 or 14. As of yet I am not able to access a world map in WKC2(only just started it really) but the way the game seems to feel is that WKC and WKC2 have fused into one game so it would stand to reason I might be able to go back.
Just wanted to ask before I get too far into WKC2 and find out I need to start WKC over if I want all that shiny stuff.

I don't think the NG+ chests from the first one are around in the second game but you'r not missing out on anything too big just some lv 35 > 48 armors that you can bind fiarly easily I think.
As far as I know there are no bonuses to NG+ in wkc2.
Edit: I lied, remembered it was lv35 > 42 weapons and armor not 48 sorry.

Yeah I guess I will just keep going then. I remember one of the NG+ items that I was wanting to farm was a treant face which according to the craptacular wiki they have only drops on NG+ with GR7+, but in WKC2 I just had 3 drop off the same treant so no point in trying to go back I guess.

If it helps any I can explain a bit on how the drops work... Spoilered for if you don't care :P
Yeah, a lot of the farmable mats dropped at the end of one drop like candy in 2. Make sure to keep everything too whether it be to donate to raise your binding rank or to bind/enhance items.Yeh try not to sell or donate anything untill you have it in excess. I generally go with 70-100 of a common item (with some exceptions) as my buffer before selling or donateing and 40-50 of the mid range ones... The rare ***you probably will never go above 3 of so don't even think about it on those ones :P
Edit: I also recommend staying off the boards untill you finish the game, you will get slammed by spoilers in the most innocent of places if you don't >.>

Ahh yeah I spent some time down there and still haven't gotten that. Still can't get the ancient dragon heart either lol. only 2 or 3 errands left. I rebirthed this weekend though as my net was down lol. It's a lot different than I thought it would be. You must have to rebirth a bunch of times to get maxed out. Vell isn't too bad though I'm only GR 21 so I haven't gotten to stage 2 yet.

Edit2: Oh and I just checked and have 7 rosenium 776 which are supposedly the same rate as the flemron just from 3ed tier instead of 2nd... so it's not that I'm not getting rare drops, just the rare drops that have no use to me XD
So you still do the rebirth thing in the second game? Probably a lot of reason I didn't see the GR7/8/9 monsters was cuz I didn't try those new quests derp. I pretty much spammed the "Best served cold" one and got up to GR 10 but then just plowed through the story after that.

Also anyone know of any tips to make the AI less HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE when it comes to buffs? I have Yulie set to a healer kinda role with a bow with orders to hang back and heal which she does well enough, but when I call her into action she has a habit of hitting 2/3 people with haste+ and then using haste+ again, basically using an -aga and 3x the MP just to cover one person, meanwhile fortify+ gets the back burner until she has everyone covered, and then shes outta MP basically (she does have spirit hymn though which *sometimes* keeps her in the game).

That does indeed seem to work, but also lose the benefit of having those when I need to control her at the ready or the few times she is intelligent and actually hits all 3 of us with it.
On a side note I just ran into my first Wraith. That was not fun as I don't have anyone set up with magic damage. Luckily I had some points to pump into Yulie and got that holy magic and just had everyone target that bad boy and ignore the adds. Going to have to rethink some skilltrees though or start switching in the old man when I see those coming.

It's almost crazy (or maybe I am just being a baby) how the difficulty from WKC > WKC2 jumps up. Through WKC I never *HAD* to use magics, or aerial attacks, I pretty much just straight up DD'd through the whole thing and only ever used tier 1 heals. Then WKC2 kicks me in the face with flying enemies, physical immune enemies, and these damnable trolls who have shields (is there a way to break their shield stance or just wait it out?). Nothing impossible to gauge so far though, just a steep learning curve there which is not fun the first time through exactly.
