Me and my friend both got kicked off ffxi out of no where and haven't been able to log on POL at all for the past hour giving us this each time:

got the same problem and i m 100% sure is SE's server problem
recently pass through pol but I keep getting connection error windows to every step to FFXI.According to GW it's happening to quite a few but yeah me and my friend are on the same ISP though we restarted the internet and tried once at the time with no results
oh hey get to character login --> Error no.3100 --> get back to the start --> Error 0011

experiencing the same thing.
Please note we all are different servers and countries.
We also just verified, our ISP isn't under maintenance so the problem is actually not internet related but on square enix side.
Got dc'ed an hour ago and can't log back on either.
I'm having the same problem.
I finally passed through the character screen after 15 tries (kept getting error 0011)

It's doing it again, hopefully this crap is fixed by tommorrow.
Getting same issue on Quetz, got boot yesterday night and was unable to log back in, and today i still can't log.
it happens wth some IPS. their DNS doesn't play nice with the game server. Give it a bit before trying again. It'll work.
that's weird :/ been playing 8y with that same ISP, 1st time this happens. Been trying to log for 4h
i got kick out at 11pm last night n was able to re-enter just enough to warp out of aby than i d/c again XD just manage to get on my 2nd character just to lose him to a warp again lol. like everyone i get error 1160/0011 while trying to log in or 3001 on black screen after character selection. talked with my provider n everything fine so its SE issue. im on my mule now but im afraid of zoning :P

It has to be something SE *** up since it's the same problem on multiple ISP. Also checked the offical forum and the SE reply is to check modem and router port's. I higly doubt everyone's ISP changed suddenly...

I've got the same problem and i'm with videotron also~
It took me an hour and like 50 tries to log in last night, and now i've been trying unsuccessfully for an hour again. Pretty annoying >_>

I ran into a similiar problem and it just turned out that it was because I transfered my account to square enix the previous month and didn't set up a payment. You may have not set up payment at https://secure.square-enix.com/account/app/svc/Login?cont=account yet. If you have already bought crysta, or used the clickandbuy account, than I don't know, could be your isp or something; which is somthing that might pass.
I got the payment set and all, thx for the tips though. its really a connection issue, sometime it even go as far as getting to character select, then i get a black screen followed by a "pol-0011 network is busy or no response from server" or "FFXI-3001 no response from server" then if i try to log in again already i get the "character is already loged-in please wait and try again" message
I'm sure its se, too many ppl from all over having the same problem. I just got on and dced 10min later. My payment went through a week ago so its been too long to be an issue.
