Ocelot Gloves Or Dusk Gloves +1

just curious which is better for DD? I'm thinking ocelot but maybe wrong.

I been meaning to do a few tests with augmented Byakko Haidate + Dusk+1 but haven't got round to it :/

Depends if you've capped haste or not.

Dusk+1 wins.


26% with both, then ocelot have a handful of dex and wins because of +4 dex.

No, no, and no. dDEX is capped in Abyssea, and so far from the cap on higher level things outside of Abyssea that the additional DEX from Ocelot is going to do nothing of significance. If your accuracy is uncapped, it means you're using the wrong food, or for defensive reasons you're unable to drastically adjust your equipment to make up for hit-rate issues(PLD). Dusk+1 is the answer, capped or uncapped haste.

Dusk +1/usu feet>ocelot/AF3 feet

Tbh though I use koga +1/usu at night and just use ocelot/af3 during the day because dusk is just a big pain in the ***. It's a bit lazy but then....I'm a bit lazy.

I subscribe to the kitty pants/dusk+1 method.

so overall in actual damage being done, on per hit basis the damage difference between the two gloves isn't that much but having dusk gloves +1 allows you to have a different tp set which could be more better for DDing?

Ocelot/Haidate/Iga+2 or Ocelot/Iga+2/Usukane is better than Ocelot/Iga+2/Iga+2, Dusk +1 enhances the margin because it lets you true cap haste + the 6 attack.
