oh god not that nut job again... Shes a perfect example of why forced sterilization is a good idea...

I'd have to find the sources but I'm lazy, she admitted being paid for making videos/trolling religious forums by an advertisement company or something.

my statment still stands

Magnitude 5.9 earthquake rattles U.S. and Canada

I always end up sleeping thru them. Least if it was a major catastrphic 2012 kind of thing, I would go peacefully, Heh!

I'm in VA, and I clearly felt it. Had no clue what was going on at first.

No idea, but it's annoying when you get an "all circuits are busy" message on a cell phone when everyone is flipping out over a tiny earthquake that.... didn't really do much of anything.

I swear this city claims everything is a freaking disaster. That Noreaster we had a year or so ago shut the whole city down, any snow we get over 2 inches makes the city close most of the schools ect.,

Edit: I take that back. It gave me motion sickness. And knocked over my Evil Dead Ash bobble head. Now I have to superglue the chainsaw back on =(

Yeah...It seems like most people are just rattled by loss of cellular communication.

Wait...Where are you, Cera? I can understand TX and LA being shut down for two inches of snow (since we're not equipped for it), but people in NE go nutter-butters too?

Virginia Beach, VA. It's not so much not being equipped, it's just that it rarely ever happens except for a freak storm occasionally. So people will freak out and buy up all the bottled water/batteries/canned food in the stores here.

Just like Lowes/Home Depot is going to make a killing in duct-tape and 2x4s this week because everyone will be boarding up / taping windows over this silly hurricane.

Ahhh...That's not too far north. I can see how that makes a difference with snowfall.

There's probably 2 Snowplows in the entirety of the 757(Hampton Roads), when it snows it never stays as snow here. It melts and freezes overnight. So its more of a circus act when people drive on it that are not used to it or have tires for such an occasion.

This is true. Not to mention the 80 tons of sand that VDOT overkills on everything here when they get their acts together.

In northern Va, it was pretty disturbing. I work at a propane filling yard, and I thought one of our in-ground tanks was about to blow because our delivery guy was there filling us up.

This is what happens to us too minus snowplows. They just send out the salt trucks.

It's amazing that some people take overpasses as a challenge in the sleet, ice and/or snow. I remember going to visit my parents in Dallas for Christmas a couple years back, and watching cars slide backwards off of the I-35 interchange.

/facepalm

I was positive that the BF was going to strangle me for freaking out from Fort Worth to Grand Prairie.

Right down the road from you (literally). I left work fairly early to not get caught up in any traffic if they closed the tunnels. I certainly won't be going near any stores for the next couple days with the hurricane coming.

Did you hear? The White House just released a press statement that said the earthquake was caused by a previously unknown geological formation now known as Bush's Fault.
