Quick question about drop rates on the wiki:

Do people update drop rates on Abyssea NMs with blue stagger proc'd? It would make a big difference (and would be a problem) if the drop rates on certain items are mixed-and-matched between staggered NMs and regular kills.

I'm soloing Khalamari on DNC for the neckpiece, but I'm not sure whether it's actually an 8% drop or not...

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this, or if there's already a thread about it (I couldn't find one).

It's the same issue with Treasure hunter. No one ever bothered to add separate drop rates for each level of TH. We'd know a lot more about TH and procs if they did sadly...

That's true, forgot about that.

I mean on Khalamari I got dragon blood and buffalo meat before I got any equipment...

I went 1/40 on that thing with 3 blu procc but no TH.
Deffinitly under 8% =(

A lot of the Khalamari entries are probably from before we knew about blue proc mechanics, so it's unlikely to be significantly inflated if you're not procing blue for whatever reason. A better measuring stick for non-blue'd droprates might be Tantra Necklace from Cuelebre, which is currently at 6.4% with a smallish sample size (meaning it could be lower or higher).

I went 1/7ish with no blues or TH, how does going 1/40 prove anything? Random is random.

I always made the joke that blue proc was easy mode, no blue proc was old SE drop rates. I hardly find it useful to bother killing an NM without proc and TH. And with both, there has only been a handful of times I havent gotten my desired item.

I went 2/3 with no blue, so the drop rate is obviously 66%

The way I see it, you have drop rates without TH and blue proc, drops rates with just blue proc, drop rates with just TH procs and drop rates with both blue and TH procs. I've rarely had something not drop with TH9+ and blue proc.

I agree with this, most things aren't worth killing without TH or procs at all.

I'll just link the wiki article since people will just be paraphrasing it anyway.

Well I got the Charis Necklace because the blue stagger was Evisceration XD

But it's a shame that Abyssea drop rates are pretty much moot (or at best inaccurate).

I think some people own all EX item then it doesn't drop so they list it to wiki as if it's not 100% especially when you see things with over a 90% drop rate.

TBH I don't trust %s on wiki at all. We just stack up the TH and get Blue!! while hoping for the best

Ace's Leggings says 95.5% drop rate with 85/89 on ffxiclopedia and 100% drop rate on gamerescape. I have to wonder if the people that didn't get drop rates already had them in their inventories. This might apply to a lot of 90%+ drop rate claims made on both wikis.

no TH.

No point in discussing drop rates without TH/Blue!! imo. It would be like discussing the difficulty of an NM and then casually mentioning you don't use atmas.

Pretty sure most of the testimonials on wiki should have that little detail appended.

I go without blue or TH because I miss old FFXI where nothing dropped ever.

I also bring 17 people who also want to lot, because I like a challenge.

Ballerines are listed as 100% but there's a bunch of times when I did it and it didn't drop, and that even a couple people in the group didn't have the feet.
I really don't trust wiki anymore with that kind of information most of the time. Proc blue, get as much TH as you can and hope for the best.

strange every single time we killed him they dropped for us back in the day when we needed our first sets of +2s. Pretty sure we killed him 10+ times, you positive people didn't have it in storage or something?
